Red face Firearm Ranges that provide CCW target

Any general public firearm ranges that provide the CCW target (B-27 ?) for any walk-in shooter to practice with?

If not what would be a good substitute?

Thanks

Might help if you let people know where you're looking.

Every indoor range I've ever been too, had either a B-27 or something similar.

I would practice with a slightly more difficult target than the one used for the actual test.

Lets say Livermore-Pleasanton and San Leandro and I would be surprised if these ranges supplied these.

You can always buy and bring your own targets too

Last time I was at the range in Tracy they had them. Never been to the range in Dublin, but I don't see anything in their rules about no human silhouette targets.

This. Aim small, miss small. Use some 8” targets.

that's the best advice, print some silhouettes on a on 8 x 10, if you are on target, then no stress w/ the actual test on the full size silhouette.

I tell people that all the time. I recommend using a B5 target. It's basically a scaled down version of the B27.

B27 is a standard target that is available at every range I've been to.

OK. Targets are cheap, I know. But I am even cheapskatier…

3x5 card at the top of the cardboard, and a paper plate a foot below the card.

I can actually get two sets, side by side on the cardboard backer at most ranges...

An 8.5x11 piece of paper is just slightly smaller than the 7 ring scoring zone. 4x6 card is about the size of the 10 ring.

I'm a cheap skate too. I use an 8.5" X 11" piece of paper on cardboard. I simply draw a small square in the middle and shoot it. Even at 25 yards it is a good indicator of accuracy potential. Keep all shots on paper. I don't buy targets and just buy paper an use a pentel marker pen.

Just order a roll of targets from online dealers. It's cheap enough. You can even tape it up with black electrical tape or masking tape or double up used targets to get more mileage out of them.

If you can hit a target the size of a large pizza out to 15 yards, you should be good to go for the CCW qualification shoot.

I know Beaumont indoor shooting range has some. They do qualifications for Riverside County CCW.

This ^^

IME and from what I read here, don't sweat it, the shoot is a joke. If you fail it, then you must absolutely suck at shooting.

Most gun ranges will sell the target or equivalent. You can order them online, or go to your local gun show and buy them there well you pick up hoards of ammo.
