I know someone at sent his off at the same time as a buddy of his.
My friend got his in about 2 weeks.
His friend took nearly 4 months.

So I sent mine off on February 10th and I was waiting patiently. I finally decided to email them and see if they received it because I mailed it from my office. Long story with the mail clerk, so I wasn't sure if they received it. They responded saying that they had not. Friday, February 26th, I received a package in the mail from them. Apparently, I missed a question so it was returned to me to complete. Arghhhh. So I checked the box no and re-mailed it this morning myself. As I'm kicking myself, how did I miss that question?

In 2017 I forgot to write the school name on the application, they returned it, I fixed the error and sent it back, had the permit a few weeks later.

Good to know. I was worried at first thinking it had been tossed by my mail clerk or my fingerprint card, money, and personal info were floating around town. I really hope it does not take the 75 days, but hey, it beats Kern County's 6 months.

You might even get it sooner than a few weeks. I recently got mine in 12 days.

Mailed the packet Feb 5th.

Received my permit Feb 17th.

Just did my class today in Tucson. Great instructor, really informative class. Now just have to send off the paperwork and fingerprint cards along with a 60.00 cashier/money order/ and go from there.

Thinking about the CCW Safe company for insurance, any others that everyone likes?

CCW Safe or USCCA.

Yeah it’s pretty easy. Obviously don’t send them your original DD-214 you won’t get it back. I sent in a copy of my Military ID along with my Real ID as well to help the process.

If you were in the military, your DD214 suffices as training.

Talk about AZ being quick...

I took the multi-state CCW class with the friendly people at Artemis Defense Institute back in mid-Feb. (Can't say enough good things about them!) They roll prints for AZ and Utah cards for you if you took their class for a small, worthwhile fee.

Sent the AZ packet Friday 2/19 certified mail with a return receipt. They received/stamped it Monday 2/22 and issued my card dated Weds 2/24. Had it back from AZ DPS on Monday 3/1 via mail.

The crazy thing is the CCW beat the return receipt back!

Yes....AZ is very quick.....if you have all the information they required and follow their instructions to the T, generally you will receive your permit very quickly (obviously assuming passed background check). Some may have experienced longer wait times in the past, esp right after March of last year, but from my experience (and fellow permit holders I have talked to),1-2 weeks seems to be the turnaround time.

Possibly.
Good thing is, you won't need a permit to carry concealed (or open) in legal places.
Granted, I live rural and open carry is common here. In some urban areas it's still legal, but frowned upon.
Posted signs do have the force of law here.

The only thing the CCW gets you in AZ vs Permit-less Carry is the ability to carry in places that serve alcohol (but not posted as no-guns)

Depending on where you're traveling it can be all over the map from every single place is posted (Sedona) to posted and noone cares including LEOs (Dewey) But in general, outside of Phoenix or Sedona, you'll rarely see places posted. ...and by posted I mean in the legal sense - posted at the place where the liquor license is displayed.

Sure, but try driving around Phoenix and avoiding a gun free school zone. It is hard to stay 'within the legal parameters' if one has a gun and no permit. Easier said than done anyway....

If you have any CCW from any state you are good to go. Arizona is constitutional carry. The only thing that having a CCW gets you in Arizona is the ability to carry in a location that serves alcohol, however, you may not consume alcohol while carrying.

Driving BY the schools is fine. Particularly if your as concerned with traffic laws as with firearm laws.

It’s not BY the schools, it’s the 1000ft extension from the school that we are referring to.

No permit, one can’t legally be LCC technically.
