I’ve got one v1, and two v2s. They can’t be beat for the price, picture quality, and lack of monthly fees. Downside is no cloud storage (local and push notification only), and (like almost every Chinesium device) the possibility it may phone home.

I just bought another on this deal (although I couldn’t get the SD for $6; I’ll just buy a $10 on-sale card from Office Depot).

Find any residential cameras that are not Chinese. Or any systems that aren’t. Hard to do. US stuff is pricey.

I've got an Arlo Pro2 system and am very happy with it. It's Netgear.
I have 2 other vid. systems and Arlo is the most reliable.

It showed up on my news feed back on the day I posted it.

Caution, these gizmos are addicting, I ended up buying six that day. I'm also trying to figure out a way to hide them in outlet boxes for outdoor use. May even put some up at my apartment bldg.

FYI I also bought the TinyCam Pro app for a whopping $4 (Google Play or Apple Store). It's great once you figure out how to "import" the cams in to it, which really isn't that hard. The app give you alot of flexibility, allows you to watch all cams at once real time, and provides options for additional cloud storage or hard drive storage.

Link to the cheap Samsung SD card...

Does this camera record continuously? I have Arlo which only records a number of seconds when the motion sensor is triggered.

^^ It does, if you insert a micro SD card into the camera.

Are you talking about how I got TinyCam Pro to work with the Wyze cams?
I googled and found a short video.
Seems like there's two ways to do it.
I did Scan Network/Import and picked the cams.
Then Manage Cameras/click on the cam you want to edit/Select correct Camera Brand and Camera Model, add your Wyzecam account username and password where indicated, then scroll down to Advance Settings and click on that/tinker with Channel number. I've had to tinker with the Channel number every time I added a new cam or else I got duplicate views from the same camera. Correcting the Channel numbers fixes that.

From there, the TinyCam app lets you organize how you want to view the cams vertically and horizontally, you can sort and order, set up to record on a hard drive/cloud (haven't gotten there yet).

One (only) issue I had, the first time I used a Wyze cam the video was stuttering like crazy. Simply go in to your wyzecam app and click My Account/App Settings/then toggle Enable Hardware Decoder to On position. Probably also a good idea to Sycn all your camera clocks at the same time so the time stamps are the same...that's at Wyzecam app/pick the cam/click Settings (Gear-looking thing at top right)/Advance Settings/click on Sync at Sync Time at bottom of menu.
