Default GSG and Sig Sauer 1911 22 same gun ?

I just looked at both the Sig and GSG 22 1911, both nice guns similar quality, and within a few bucks the same price. I have a suspicion they are the same guns.
Not ever shot either, can't comment on performance.
Are they ????

Basically yes. GSG manufactures the 1911 for Sig. I have the GSG version and am very happy with it.

I bought a used GSG. Works good, inexpensive and shoots anything I've tried so far.

The Sig has a better finish other than that it's the same gun...

SIG noticed that the GSG 1911-22 was actually good and contracted GSG to make them a version of it.
The SIG branded version & magazines cost a bit more because they say SIG and not GSG/ATI.

SIG has used GSG in the past as well.
GSG designed the SIG Mosquito and produced the early runs of it for SIG.

What everyone else said. Basically the same. My GSG is one of my favorite guns to shoot.
