Default My Saiga-12 A.K.A. ZEUS

Alright guys.....Conversion/restoration was done by PRK Arms they added HK Sights...welded a tromix stock plate and did the paint....

Just got it back from Cadiz gun works they did a warranty job because one of my gas ports wasn't drilled all the way through and i had them polish the bolt....

Here is a list of my mods.

-all 922r compliant FCG (tapco G2)
-Chaos Muzzle Break
-Chaos Vertical Forward Grip
-Chaos Tri-Rail (i'm going to get the H&K Top for a quad.)
-MD Arms Gunfixer Gas Plug
-King Armory gas puck
-HK Sights + Weld job to get them on
-Bolt Polished
-Tromix Back plate - Welded on (for the stock, this wasnt necessary but i got it done anyways)
-Ace Stock
-Thedrickel's magazine lock from PRK Arms

P.S. i've had this in possession for 3 weeks since the purchase. i purchased the saiga-12 in the end of December, got it back mid june from PRK Arms from the full conversion ..had to ship it out due to FTE's with light loads..I just got it back yesterday from Cadiz! even though we had a long distance relationship, I've always loved it!

thank you, i wish that PRK just welded them a bit closer to the edge of the gas block because Chaos came out with a HK Friendly top rail which is about $110 but im not sure if it will fit. i emailed chaos and sent them the pictures. lets see what happens, either way if it doesnt fit im still a happy camper

WOW, thats a nice job! You got nice taste with how you had it built. Some are cheesy but definitely not yours.. Thats a sick Saiga!! I'm in your boat, i bought my Saiga12 last Oct. sent it out for conversion, got it back recently, test fired it, all the gas ports werent drilled properly, sent it out to Cadiz. Now its on its way home from Cadiz, should be here by Wed. We should go out together to test fire them and turn some heads.. LOL

Why HK sights? Just personal preference?

Nice shotgun. Needs a 14" barrel though

haha, i took it out today to insight shooting range and tested out 20 rounds....worked perfect. the main reason i went today is because i taught one of my friends (girl) how to shoot. she started with a .22 handgun, sig 226 9mm, my 1911 and i loaded a single round in my s12....she loved it haha.....what day do you plan on going out to burro?

i guess from the paint job since i got alot of work done to it they had to paint the dust cover as well.....since the bolt carrier is darker, i might plan on polishing it up but i'm unsure about it since i like it all black

check the gas ports with a dental pic...take off the gas knob, and start poking around there should be three holes that go through all the way.... one of my ports wasnt drilled through 100%.

+,1 I unscrewed the gas knob, the "puck" kinda fell out when i turned shotgun upside down. Then i had my bro hold the shotgun while i used a flashlight and paperclip to look and feel the holes drilled. Mine had 3 holes but it seemed they were not drilled all the way through. So i contacted Cadiz. It took about 1 month from day of shipping and now its on its way back.. They are fast and easy to deal with. Vicki at Cadiz is really on top of stuff..

The bolt carrier is one solid color.

The ejection port portion of the dust cover is very large to ensure the proper ejection of spent rounds. Behind the bolt carrier is a floating piece of sheet-metal attached to the recoil spring guide. It reciprocates with the bolt and carrier and acts as an extention of the dust cover. It covers the gap between the bolt and dust cover then gets out of the way when the bolt travels to the rear.

The two types of metal take and show their coloring differently.

PS, Great looking gun! That's pretty much exactly what I want to do with mine when I have the time.

I sure hope you guys are setting the gas system at #1 when your blasting slugs and heavy loads. If not your gonna kill the rear trunnion and greatly reduce the service life of the coolest shotties(Oh yeah I went there) in Cali.

Can you legally have your shotgun barrel cut down below 18" then weld on the brake shown above to give you a total length of 18"?

Looks very sweet! Can you ball park how much the total mod cost you (minus the cost of the shotgun)?

I'm currently doing a very similar build. I am curious though, is the Chaos tri-rail considered a 922r replacement part? I know that it's made in the U.S., but I can't find any reference online that lists it as a 922r replacement part.

I would imagine that it's considered a forearm replacement, and thus should be a valid 922r replacement part.
