Yep
Locked in. No runoff. We are still safe, for now.

Apparently not.

The new election process put a bunch of votes in the mail on the last day.

As of 3:13 p.m., today, 19 June, Jones holds 51.45%.

Scroll to page 11, here: https://eresults.saccounty.net

Check the volumes against the DA race, just above the Sheriff numbers. This should be over now.

Here’s how the election bled out.....

-Jones announced retirement and anointed his successor.
- -Successor backed out, and Jones recanted his retirement story that two terms were enough.
-Progressives threw a bunch of cash at Fitch and bought his soul out of retirement.
- -Experience and an unsullied political past made him viable.
- -Lack of a campaign made him “anybody but Jones”.
-Sgt Cox presented a fresh face with credentials, but had no backing. She still polled almost as well as Fitch with the machine behind him.
-Almost 14k voters still haven’t figured out Brett Daniels, and he continues to drain the electorate.

Next time around, the Progressives will be in early and well-funded to place their candidate.

According to the numbers today, there are 4,620 ballots left to count. If EVERY one of them goes to someone other than Jones, he will still have 50.5% of the total votes.
