JL Billet 308 15" Angle Cut Free Float M-Lok Hand Guard

The continuous top rail allows you to mount iron sights, optics and any other accessories without additional rail sections. The M-Lok system allows users to customize the handguard with rail sections and direct mount accessories. The handguard is constructed of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and finished with a Mil-Spec type III hard coat black anodizing.

The MLA has a precision bore to fit the proprietary barrel nut which removes any unwanted play and ensures an exact fit!! Installation requires a 1-5/16" crows foot wrench (not included) for the barrel nut; standard AR-10 barrel nut wrenches will not work with this handguard system. These rails are some of the lightest you will find anywhere! The 15" weighs in at only 10.9 oz. including the barrel nut. Machining is second to none!!

Will these work with a Smith and Wesson M&P 10?

Yes they should line up. I pretty sure that the M&P upper has 1 7/16-16 threads and the rail height is the same as the DPMS low profile.

Whats the measurement difference between a high and lower DPMS upper? I have a 2012/3 upper, is that probably a low?

It will work with the MA10. It will be high profile but you need to verify the thread pitch on the barrel nut. If it's 18 TPI it's Armalite and if it's 16 TPI it's DPMS.

It appears your proprietary barrel nut doesn't require timing, is that correct?

If it does require timing, do your handguards come with timing shims?

The reason I ask is because for some reason all the LR-308 builds I've been doing seem to have timing issues requiring over-torque or refacing.
