Yeah if you don't figure in tool cost for the finisher of the 20% and what ever other cost. That is why 80%er use to be cheaper the a stripped lower. I already have mine from them and woud buy more if.... they came out in other colors and/or lowered the price once the panic buying comes down to normal levels.

Hi there! Has anyone else acquired one of the new magpul pmag 10 magazines? I'm finding that the geometry of the trigger guard/magazine well is a few mm incompatible with the pmag 10 in terms of allowing the pmag enough upward travel to catch on the magazine lock. My current thinking is I'd have to dremel off the plastic nubs on the back of the pmag.

On another note, I am very pleased to announce Calguns vendor Direct Action Solutions is carrying our 80s and jigs at their retail location in Solana Beach for San Diego area customers. We also have Matt at American Tactical in Fresno with stock on hand for local buyers. |

I was in the first batch of lowers and didn't have any fit issues with the new 10 round pmags until I actually fully assembled everything. Now that it is 100% the new pmags won't fit.
Of course I could have used some engraving...cough...cough Jimi...but it ended up working out well...just out a major amount of gas...and time and vector file money. Last edited by gorillafingaz; 05-31-2013 at 1:05 PM.. Reason: Update |

Hey guys,
We will be giving away a free lower to a randomly selected customer that leaves a review on the site from now until the end of July. So if you purchased one of these lowers and you like or hate it, leave a review on the site and we will be selecting a winner on July 29th. It will be the winner's choice of an anodized or raw lower and we will ship it for free!! http://www.cnc80.com/main.sc Thanks |

Well, I was very happy with the anodized lower I got from you guys. Machined it out on 5-25, at Charlie's build party, and then just sat on it for a few days. put the lower parts kit in, and long story short, I built a *****in' pistol. The only problem I had was that I needed to remove the bolt catch, and the pin would not come out. I ended up hacking off the oval part of the catch. it looks kinda crappy, but it works. I'd really like to know if anybody else has ever encountered this. otherwise I'm real happy! |

One piece threaded bolt catch pins are now in stock. Replace your two piece units with these stainless one piece units.

With the new pins they are a solid piece so if the pin does wedge itself in, it will be drawn out when you loosen the screw. |

Need an anodizer. Any one know of a relatively low cost anodizer?

You mean a forging? It will work if you tap the hole to take 6-32 threads. This will screw directly into my lowers.

Anybody tried the Troy Battlemags? Mine won't catch on the mag catch, either with a bullet button OR manually holding the catch in. If you slam the bottom of the mag in (not easy with the rubber grab thingy), it will stay in until you wiggle it then it just pops right back out.
I only have one old generation 10/20 pmag, everything else is pmag M3 and the troy battlemags. While the M3Pmags have that over travel stop, the Battlemags have no such device, so I don't understand why they don't fit... ***Edit*** After some investigating it seems the magazine catch recess is not milled deep enough, therefore the mag catch is almost flush with the side of the mag well. The M2 Pmag catches because the catch area is raised on the magazine itself. The one on the Battlemags is not, and so it will only catch if the mag is pushed to the catch side of the magwell. Once you wiggle it, it won't grab anymore and falls out. The only 2 solutions I see are to find a mag catch that has an oversized "bump" that grabs the magazine, or to mill out the mag catch recess on the side of the lower to allow the mag catch to sit deeper in the magazine well. ***Edit 2*** Looks like I found a solution... Upon extremely close inspection of the magazine catch recess, there is a tiny bit of either built up anodizing or milled aluminum. After taking a screwdriver to it, it scraped off and that extra mm was enough for the Battlemags to fit, and stay in the magazine well. I also checked out all my other CNC80 lowers and they ALL had this issue. I'll try to post a pic if I can get one. Doesn't solve my Pmag M3 issue, but there is a solution for that too in this thread.
