Default The F-17™ Series from Franklin Armory ®

The F-17™ Series is the worlds first gas piston rimfire rifle. It shoots a .17 Winchester Super Magnum Rimfire round that operates at 33,000 PSI while producing velocities up to 3,000 FPS. This design was created to be safer and more reliable since it uses a rotating locking bolt and piston design. The F17™ series is also exempt from many restrictions placed on centerfire rifles in states like California.

Great rifles that are an absolute blast to shoot! I mainly hunt with mine (lead-free ammo is available), but they make great target rifles as well.

It would be nice if Franklin Armory came out with a short, short magazine in five/ten round capacity for those that use it for hunting. Those 10/30 or 20/30 length ones really aren't very good for that. Come on Franklin!

A $1800 .22?? That’s a bit out of my price range, no wait a minute that’s A LOT out of price range!

Wait till you see how much the mags cost.

(FWIW, I think this rifle has been out for a while.)

Can’t we get Winchester to blow that case out to .22 or .27 caliber so we can shoot something bigger than a rabbit?

I’m all for the idea, but I don’t think even I could justify nearly $2000 (with optic) for a tactical rimfire varmint buster.

It's a 17WSM, not a .22. Huge difference in performance.

A .20 caliber would be nice, but I don't think a .22, or .27, would be worthwhile. Using the 17WSM, I've killed everything from ground squirrels, to coyotes and everything in between. It's a hell of a round and if you get a chance to really shoot one, you would agree.

Thank you; I was just about to mention that. And this is 2019. $1,800 is not that big of a price anymore... I hate to say that. You should see what custom match rifles cost these days along with the .22 match ammo to feed them.

I also shoot airguns. You cannot find a really good one for less than $1200.

Hey Frankin, if you want us to visit your site, especially with a tablet/mobile device, maybe you should design it so it doesn't have a banner that takes up 1/3 of the page and keeps dropping down to annoy your visitor. 3 attempts to navigate one page and I clicked out. Won't be back.

I would buy a barrel, bolt, and mags. I like my matching billet uppers and handguard of my choice.

I would slap a thermal sight on it and use it for night hunting coyotes in free states.
