Default TCr22

I had been wanting a semi-auto .22, and the 10/22 is pretty much the industry
standard, with all of the mods available. I bought it primarily for rimfire Steel Challenge, and didnít really want to buy a cheapie Ruger and fall down the rabbit hole, so I bought the TCr22.
Most of the 10/22 parts will interchange(trigger group, stock, barrel), and it has a machined receiver with a picatinny rail molded into it, rather than a screw on rail like the Ruger. It came with a ghost ring rear sight, green fiber optic front, and a Magpul stock, all for $299.00 at Sportsmenís Warehouse. Itís tiny!!!
The trigger sucks(heavy, creepy) but that can be fixed quite easily. I did some ammo testing, breaking it in with Auto Match, 719, 711B, and MiniMags.
I got the best groups(1.5Ē) offhand at 15 yards with 711B. Reasonable for my needs. Iím going to put a HoloSun 503 65/2 MOA green dot sight on it, I have one on my PC-9 and love it!!!

T/C used to make a 22 auto, the TC R55, in wood and all steel. Steel receiver, screwed in barrel, not press fit or held on by a clamp. I have the sporter model but they made it in a target model also - heavy barrel, laminated stock. Usually about $325.00 or so in excellent shape. Proprietary magazines are kind of a pain, but excellent accuracy and trigger pull without any fiddling.
