As I PMed last "night", it is rendered as a single blank page in Apple Preview. (Installed by default on Apples so we don't have to download Acrobat Reader)
It also renders the same blank page in Safari (integrated PDF reader) and FormulatePro (a PDF editor). I always thought PDFs were universal platform. Guess I was wrong. |

No-one I spoke with could replicate the error. I wonder why it would render differently for mac?

I really dislike calling this a "civilian flowchart" as far as I know our military must also use this process if they want a California ccw.
Upon further reading of 12050 I don't see how the process would be any different for a police officer or judge/magistrate who desires a 12050 permit other than the PD/SO being able to waive the fees.

The 2-year permits are commonly cited as "civilian" and/or "standard"; the guide is as intended for LE agencies as it is for applicant users. We can definitely place some notes in the next iteration to clarify.

Have you saved it as a download and then opened it with a PDF viewer? That can make a difference.
On my Xp system with Firefox it opened and displayed without any issues on these PDF programs: Nuance PDF Converter Pro 6.0 Nitro PDF Pro 5.5 Adobe Acrobat 8 Std. Nice work on the document! Very informative and user friendly. Looking forward to my CCW. |

I'd be quite happy with "standard" as it wouldn't be likely to confuse any military personnel interested in applying.

Hello to fellow Mac users,
I also had a blank page when I used Apple's Preview but when I used Adobe Reader, it opened without a problem. I think the Adobe macros to secure the pdf is causing the blank page issue. Hope this helps!
