Email them and if they are offering one on that item they will send you the code. Was ready to order mine this morning, waited for them to email back and now out of stock again! :-(

Pretty rare that they have discounts. It did go up $5 though. Supply & demand.

That is a sick combination of commie firepower right there.

I will just restain it with gunstock 231 from Minwax and add several layers of tung oil for better protection.

And boy, this is like a tank. heavy but the recoil is ok... just a beauty.

Got shipping notice on mine today.... I really should not have bought one... oh well, ha!

Any of you guys buy the Apex Balkans surplus stock sets? They are now $45 for 3 sets instead of $25 for 3. Additionally, the last few sets I've seen posted online had no trench art, just looked like surplus stocks and all had donkey dongs on them. Tempted to pick a set up though.

Not sure about that. I just ordered a set and requested no donkey dongs, will post pics when I get them. Every set I've seen recently is "boring" with no trench art and full donkey dong, not cut off. If that happens, I will create my own f***in trench art based on the stuff I've seen. I have low expectations, so hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised. I will sell off the remaining sets.

After seeing this thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=806899 , I am also going to epoxy over the "Read owners manual" BS, sand it, & repaint. I don't have a TIG welder or anything decent, so I'm just gonna try that and see how it works. Maybe it'll add to the battlefield pickup look.

Maybe someone has answered this already, but is Atlantic willing to ship the rebuilds separately?

I was going to order when they had some in stock today, but couldn't get this question answered. I hope they get more in soon again.

Sorry did you mean ship them separately from the gun? As in "not in the same box"...

I think I didn't read your post carefully enough...

Yea, shipping them separately to a different address than my ffl. My local ffl does not want to deal with rebuilds.

Its pretty clear they will just remove it and keep the magazine if the FFL can't accept rebuild kits. They are not sending it out separately unless their policies changed. Its in bold RED in case you missed it.

http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/comp....html?Itemid=0

If you are located in California and are purchasing a rifle we will be glad to send the mag to the FFL dealer as a parts kit. It is your responsibility to discuss this in advance with your dealer. We do not offer parts kits to any other states since it is only legal in CA.
Please Note: If you can not have the magazine shipped to your dealer as a Parts kit, we will remove the magazine for you before shipping your rifle. There are no discounts associated with this service.

Thanks for the reply. It's clear that they will remove it from the shipping box that's sent to the ffl, but sending it separately, directly to you wasn't clearly stated.

Edit: I just got an email from Atlantic that more or less states that they won't ship the rebuilds separately, directly to you.

We would be glad to ship the mag kits to the ffl dealer with the gun we do not offer any other options as covered in the text via the web site .

Default Pistol grip options???

I have a spare ergo grip that I tried to put on my new OPAP,no dice.
So,what are my options for getting a different grip for this beautiful new rifle? I'm just not wild about the stock one.

Yugo grips from APEX or Iron Wood or Ronin

You will have to drill one on. One of the reasons I'm getting the Balkan stock sets is that they should have the sling mounts. We shall see.

BTW, I believe APEX does have surplus sling mounts for stocks, no screws though, but those can be purchase at Home Depot or grab something from the bottom of your toolbox.

922r is very confusing to me. Is the pistol grip provided with the rifle foreign made or US stamped. If it is US made, then we would have to stick with an American made replacement like Ironwood, right????

Sounds like a great rifle for the price.

Yep, I did not get the Crest.

BTW guys, I ordered the Balkan stock sets from APEX, got it yesterday, no donkey dongs, thank goodness, but also barely any trench art.

I'm selling two of the stocks with handguards, one for sale does have crescent moon trench art on the stock. That one is also covered in cosmo. I'll post pics when I can. I think all the good trench art ones from APEX have dried up.....

I have to say not getting the crest from Atlantic is not an issue, I just want a good shooter with no issues, but the APEX kit, $45 and $12 shipping.... **** that. Do not waste your money on it or do you feel lucky? I felt lucky and I lost. At least when I post pics of the stocks for sale, you'll know what you'll be getting if you decide to buy something from a forgotten war to add some history to your firearm.
