Default First Data Shutting down Ammomen temporarily (UPDATE)

This from an Email I received from them today:
Quote: "Dear Ammomen Family:

We have had some developments we need to share with you.

As you may be aware, we have been unable to process your orders since last Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday afternoon our credit card processor exited our contract and closed our feed. What this means is that at 5:00 p.m. we were no longer able to sell ammo. No warning, no explanation. Just shut down.

When we finally got through to someone at the processing center to find out what was going on, their response was "We don't like guns and ammo." We requested a 30-90 day extension so that we might have time to find a 2nd amendment friendly processor. They categorically denied an extension. We can only speculate what sparked their decision.

This is the first time we at Ammomen have been directly affected by a nonsensical liberal decision. Our choices at this point are to accept the restrictions being placed upon us, or to double down on our 2nd amendment freedoms.

We are doubling down!

We have been in contact with a handful of 2nd amendment friendly processors and hope to be back up and running within the next week.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you, our customers, and our suppliers, but we promise to return to operation as soon as possible.

In the mean time, if you do business with First Data/Card Connect, please know that it appears they are not friendly towards 2nd amendment businesses.

We will send another email shortly to announce we are ready to process your orders.

God Bless,
Your Ammomen Family
Where we value Faith, Family and FREEDOM!"
End of Quote.

Will they take a check?

Sucks so many anti gun companies out there that are willing to loose money. Hope they all go out of business.

The left continuing to encroach on 2A rights with a never-ending flow of small, but cumulatively frustrating, barriers.

Hoping for a quick resolution for Ammomen.

Investigate bringing an action for breach of contract and damages.

Liberal stupidity needs to be held to account.

Where are their corporate offices? Maybe a hundred thousand armed 2a protesters should show up to express our feelings about their corporate stance. That might get interesting. Starting Tuesday I am retired - who else is in? By armed my mean armed with informational picket signs and such.
Here is the address of the corporate headquarters.
5565 Glenridge Connector NE, Suite 2000
Atlanta, GA 30342
And here is their contact URL:

I'm not doubting you but as a Wells Fargo customer that I am, can this be stone cold verified before I consider taking my banking business elsewhere?

Wells Fargo, my bank, continues to receive an F score by antis, where an F means they are highly supportive of 2A

https://www.azcentral.com/story/mone...ns/3491446002/

Wells Fargo's still current feelings are that they will not impose a policy when legislation supporting that policy does not exist.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
On May 29, 2017 First Data announced its plans to acquire CardConnect, a provider of payment processing which processed approximately $26 billion of volume annually, for $750 million.
Quote:
In 2009 First Data announced that it was moving its headquarters from Greater Denver to 5565 Glenridge Connector, NE Atlanta, GA 30342.[70] While the official First Data headquarters are located in Atlanta, Georgia,[71][72] First Data's principal executive offices are in New York City.

Just as an FYI, banking partners in an exchange like this are not the policy makers. They simply do the heavy lifting for the in and out of the money supply. The company managing the exchange is in charge. Namely FirstData.

Quote:
First Data Merchant Services, LLC is a registered ISO of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Concord, CA; Deutsche Bank AG, New York, NY; BBVA USA, Birmingham, AL; and MetaBank, Sioux Falls, SD.
All those banks participate in the exchange, but do not manage it.

Visa requires at least three supporting (processing) banks in an exchange for an ISO to be approved with the Visa logo and service name

Quote:
Independent Sales Organization (aka ISO) is a term used within the payment industry to identify a individual or organization that is not an Association (Visa & MasterCard) Member. However, ISO’s have bank card relationships with an Association Member (banks) who participate in issuing or acquiring functions.
So the function of an ISO is to process transactions on behalf of the card brand (Visa, MC), but also to apply policy to downstream merchants. It's here that activists likely have applied pressure. If their HQ is in NY, I would suspect they've been infected by Bloomberg and Cuomo.

A logical conclusion that I concur with.

Leftist Dems attack 2A anywhere they possibly can. This is IMO just another extension of Obumma's "Operation Choke Point".

Hopefully the NRA's law suit against Cuomo and his minions for this Gov. Sanctioned Policy will prevail.

As stated above, four words: material, breach, of, contract.

First Data can do whatever they decide to do. But typically there's 'wind down' clauses in contracts stipulating some period of notice, thirty, forty-five, sixty days. This is order to not impact that client's business.

This may also be actionable. But of course, you're likely litigating across state lines which can be an expensive crapshoot. No one ever accused the American legal system of being fair, right, just or equitable.

As to doing business with Wells Fargo, Nickel Plate, sir, how many examples of how Wells Fargo intentionally deceives, lies to, and rips off, and quite literally destroys the lives of their own customers do you need before you figure this out?

But then again, the chickens elected Colonel Sander so. . . .

Interference of interstate commerce lawsuit, take it to the SCOTUS.

From Email received yesterday:

"Dear Ammomen Family -

We wanted to give you an update as to where we are with our credit card processing. As you were previously made aware we were locked out of our credit card
processing last week for no other reason than our processor no longer supports firearms and ammunition businesses. This action was taken immediately and without warning

After advising you, our customers, of the situation, the out-pouring of support has been incredible! For that we are grateful!

The NRA has been appraised of the of the situation and many of you have contacted Card Connect / First Data to express your opinion. In addition, we have contacted the Oklahoma Corporation Commission where Ammomen is registered.

We have researched 2-A friendly vendors and have begun the process of setting up new credit card processing which we expect to have in place by the first of next week.

In the mean time, we want to say thank you for your support. This situation has opened the doors to many 2-A friendly businesses and customers that we were previously unaware of.

With the current onslaught of attacks on our freedoms, it is more imperative than ever to band together. This support has been on full view this week.

For Ammomen the lesson is this: It is no longer business as usual. We have to double down on our freedoms and band together with like-minded Americans and protect our freedoms and our businesses. We will do our part!

As soon as final testing is complete with our new vendor, we will let you know.

With Much Gratitude,
Your Ammomen Family
Where we value Faith, Family and FREEDOM!"
End of quote.

Added noted from Ammomen:
"We are back up and running. Please share our appreciation and thanks to the CalGuns community.

We are sending a formal notice this afternoon.

We appreciate your support.

Ammomen "
End quote.
