Lightbulb Low FFL transfer fees?

Does anyone know an FFL that charges low fees for transfers? Out of state transfers and PPT? I am looking for more FFLs in the SF Bay Area that do not charge high fees and have not found many. Can other members share their recommendations? Thank you!

Or primo tactical in walnut creek.

Anyone else know other FFL dealers charging low "transfer fees"?

Go to GunBroker and use their FFL finder. Most of them list their prices

Thanks for sharing the transfer fees guys!

Does anyone else have any good experiences with FFLs charging lower transfer fees?

My regular FFL charges $40 for the first firearm and $20 for each additional on the same DROS, for transfers. But he’s in Lincoln, a bit out of the way for you in The Bay.

Not a PPT, rather a fee for accepting a transfer from another FFL or online purchase.

Yes that is what I am asking others for feedback on and if they've found and used an FFL that charges less than others. Found a lot of places charging $70-$100.

On a related note, anyone find an FFL that still will accept ammo delivered to them from vendors without charging additional fees? Thanks.

Try Farwest Photography, dvs762 here on CGN. Dave's a good guy and his fees are reasonable. He's in Santa Clara.

Mount Pleasant Arms in San Jose.

$40 for first transfer, $10 for each additional up to 4 total. So if you transferred 4 lowers for example it $70 transfer fee. Plus $25 DROS.

Reeds had a $100 transfer fee a few years ago, maybe different now. Far west and sc guns for $50. I've also used mount pleasant arms, by appointment only.

Ok will crossout Reeds. How much did Mount Pleasant Arms charge? And do they charge for accepting ammo transfers too? Thanks!

Yes checked out GB FFL list many Bay Area FFLs are missing, so it is incomplete.

What FFL in Glendora pulled that shady move? Let us know so we can avoid.

UG Imports ($50 + $25 DROS + tax) is the best in the Bay Area, imo. Great price, but also speed, efficiency, knowledge of the gun laws, no FUD.

Ace Jewelry and Loan I’m West Covina.

Great place to ppt, Ans especially bringing in something from out of state. I brought in a long gun from Atlantic Firearms and they only charged me $35, I believe. Highly recommend

I agree probably one of the best for transfers. The price they ask is fair to me and there’s no point in driving out of your way to a FFL that is slightly cheaper to save $20 but spend the same amount in gas going back and forth twice. I try to support the good FFLs in the area. I never did a transfer at solar tactical but I know him from these forums back in the day and he is a really great guy.

I agree UGI is good, quick, in and out. Mount pleasant arms is great as well but even better for transfers of multiples: $40, $10 for additional firearms, evening hours by appointment so it's one on one.

Dave aka dvs762 on calguns and Farwest Photography is an awesome non-stocking dealer in Santa Clara specializing in interstate transfers.

No inventory carrying costs and non-retail commercial space keep overhead low. No lookie loos fondling display case contents minimize waiting, and you can make an appointment to avoid even that.
