"Targets will be engaged from 3-200 yards"

Does this mean the 200-yard gong is a viable target again?

We actually set up a longer distance range on another part of the ranch...so, the answer is "kinda". The 200 yd gong is still out, but we set up steel elsewhere past 200.

Hopefully see you there...

In the event it sprinkles on Sunday, we have 10'x40' shelters on the range to stay dry. But we all know a little rain never hurt anyone....

ns3v3n, Thank you for the great compliment. We really enjoy teaching and it helps tremendously when you have motivated students that can apply the skills we are exposing them to. It makes our job really easy.

To answer your question from an instructor's viewpoint, I think it went really well. There was a varied amount of experience in the class. Some had taken classes with us before, some from other Training Companies and some with little or no experience at all especially with the carbine/rifle.

With that being said, there were a lot of new skills being taught and some things that most of the students, I am sure have not been exposed to before. However, they picked them right up and really improved by the end of the day. So much so, that ALL the students engaged and hit a 14 inch diameter plate at 200 yards. Thats pretty impressive when you consider many of them have never intentionally fired at anything that far before with the confidence they were going to hit it.

The students were exposed to and retained a lot of new skills in a very short period of time. They demonstrated that they were able to practically apply what they just learned by hitting their long distance shots, along with the other drills they were asked to perform. That is validation to them and to the instructors that they have learned and absorbed a new skill set with a new weapon system.

Great job guys!! Keep up the good work and we will hopefully see you at our classes coming up in the next few weeks and months.

For those that could not attend, please mark your calendars and try to make arrangements necessary to attend the school of your choice. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed and will leave with more confidence in yourself and your abilities with your chosen weapon system.

Thanks again and we will look forward to training with you again...

Bob.
