Default What do you use your grenade pouches for?

I have been getting some of the the last items I felt I needed for my Molle chest rig together and finally got around to getting an actual Molle canteen pouch.

When I got the pouch out of the package, the seller was kind enough to surprise me with a free grenade pouch.

I had just enough space left for it along the hip area of the belt. I thought it might come in handy, but really don't know what extra this or that I could stick in there.

Maybe a couple 20 or 25 round boxes of pistol ammo is all I can imagine using it for at this point. I haven't had a lightbulb flash of any other creative way to use it.

What do you guys use them for?

Then take it off and keep it in storage somewhere. One day the lightbulb will flash and you'll be ready for it.

Tourniquet, 4x4's (or girlie pads), tampons (don't laugh, sterile and good for plugging bullet holes), and whatever else I can stuff in there, first-aid wise.

Holy molle Batman!

I personally don't have any of those pouches, but if I did I'd keep it full of Hello Kitty bandaids and erasers.
You never know...

Oh and a couple packs of sidewalk chalk for when there's downtime. 😎

Sent using 2 cans and a long string.

Popcorn balls!

But really, they don't fit anything well that needs to be readily available for me. Wouldn't use it.

And librarian is gonna have a fit about the tampons.

They hold like 3 or 4 shotgun shells, but I use 7.62 bandoliers for holding 3/pouch and it wears nice as a belt.
Give it a try.

I routinely use them to carry (2) 10 round 5.56 pmags. Just about as space efficient as can be with those silly mags.
Ever try to dig a 10 rounder out of the bottom of a standard AR magpouch?
I have a small binocular in one on a belt.
Good for a small general utility pouch.
Sometimes bring one to the range full of .22 magazines.

Based on the above responses, we now know why the grenade pouches were free.
