This is exactly what I'm looking to do to my 500. What flashlight and mount did you use and where did you get the sling mount screws? I can't find ones that fit. Thanks!

Nice man, I was wondering what my Sidewinder would look like with the top folding stock. It look frick'n sweet. I'm currently re-doing my Mossberg and adding a new stock and stuff

Here is my baby, its a Valtro PM5 12ga. It is my home defense weapon, a real pleasure to fire. It has a 7+1 capacity with removable magazine. 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells will work. Completely legal in Ca, just very hard to come by. I am still in search of a 10 round magazine if anyone knows where to get one they are out there but are the holy grail for Valtro owners.

I have two Valtro R05 (the PM5 is actually the folding stock version) and two Sidewinders. The sidewinders are excellently made, but the Valtros do hold the edge - unsurprising since they are 100% Italian made, finely crafted guns from the same shop that produced Valtro 1911s that today fetch between $1500 and $3000 per gun.

The only problem is that magazines, are extremely hard to come by. At SHOT I spoke to a gentleman who makes magazines. I wanted him to make a batch of 200 R05 magazines. Unfortunately, he told me that it wouldn't be worth it unless he made 100,000!!

Similar (to a lesser degree) can be said of the Sidewinder magazines.

R05 magazines - expect to pay about $90 used, $135 new. In three years of watching Gunbroker and AA studiously I have NEVER seen a magazine up for sale.

Sidewinder magazines - expect to pay about $60 used, $100 new. The drums (which are not that great, and seriously detract from the manueverability of the gun) are betwen $200 - $600 when they were still available on eBay.

I have never seen a 10rnd R05 magazine, period.

With the pump action you can have a pistol grip, folding stock and removable magazine. Only restriction is 18 inches and 10 rounds

I got one of those last month and I had a hard time cycling the rounds through. I took a while of moving the action back and fourth to work it in. Just wondering if you have the same problem. Did you take the plastic rod out so it could hold more rounds?
