Default The Demise of Swiss Products LLC

When I started Swiss Products in 1999, I did it because I greatly enjoyed the rifles. I tried to keep all of our accessories within financial reach of us older guys that aren't really well heeled. We held the line on selling prices for as long as we could, and, believe it or not, we've only had three price increases in the past 17 years.

Of course when we went to a distribution network, the selling prices changed a bit, but we actually reduced those costs to our distributors in an effort to keep the SP line reasonable. For the past two years those distributor 40% markups meant that a lot of shooters simply couldn't afford Diopters or 1911 Mounts. Long story short.......... Swiss Products LLC is no more.

By next Thursday at the latest, my new website titled SwissProductsUSA.com will be on line. We've retained our cost factors, but now......... There's no Dealer 40% markup. That $437.00 Type P/S Diopter has become the $289.00 P/S Diopter. What a difference 40% makes, eh? Of course the same thing applies to the entire line.

Latigo has been setting up the new website for Credit Cards and PayPal. He's weighing everything so that your shipping cost will appear when you're ready to part with those hard-earned big, Big, BIG Vanna White bucks.

I have three new items being introduced within 3 months. A combination Clamp On Muzzle Brake and Diopter front Sight Tunnel that will work together. The second is the same thing for the G11 rifles. Third is a new Bipod Adaptor for the 1911 series of rifles.

The LHO is definitely happening as well.

This is all happening courtesy of my Son.... Latigo and the St.Marie shop girls. Technically, he already owns Swiss Products. This old man has no illusions of lasting forever, so St.Marie's Swiss Products will be staying very much alive and in the family.

Same here. It was one of those movies which started scary and then had a happy ending.

LOL! I've had a crush on Vanna White since 1976.

Excellent news!
Just yesterday I had my K-31 at the range with the SP clamp on scope mount. Excellent mount and it holds a zero perfectly.
I will certainly consider the new diopter for the 1911 long rifle.

Thanks for posting this info. As RDFact remarked above, my Swiss Products K31 clamp on mount is about the most dependable and rock solid firearm accessory I own. I wouldn't think twice before ordering another. Being a lefty, it is exactly in the right place.

Nice, I found myself in the same predicament when I started selling stuff 6 months ago- any distribution network wanted more than it was worth. I keep a streamlined site (square space for $30 a month) and do some Ebay and GB auctions and keep the prices near my cost, and it's been good.

Also, the ITAR restrictions are about to finally be relaxed, so it means we get to not pay $2500 a year and we even might be able to export again.

My 1911 mount is still as good as new, going on 5 years and at least 2000 rounds.

Thank you sir! Lat is watching an explanatory video this morning about uploading metatabs to the internet. At the moment, few have been able to find us.

Bobby, with the new price schedule, that mount is 40% less than you paid.
