Actually, you should have held on to your copies to bring with you to the final visit. In any event, bring a copy of your LS paperwork Your next step is training and waiting for the "final approval" which shouldn't take too long. Since you've been approved, go ahead and do the training and when your results come back and you have your final approval letter, set up your appointment for issuance. You're probably about 3-4 weeks out from getting your laminated rice paper, if things go as fast as I suspect they might and you're on top of things.

There was three copies of the LS paperwork that I received from Amber. The LS tech told me he will keep one, and I must send one to Amber and I keep the third copy. So I will bring the third copy of my LS paperwork for my final visit? I already took the required 16 hour training and turned in the document to the detective who did the initial interview/appointment. So I guess I'll just have to wait for my LS results and issuance appointment then? I got my OR CHL in November and FL CCW in January do the LS in CA process the same as other states?

After your LS Amber will send you a letter informing you that the LS results are back. Schedule your appointment, bring in your training and qualification paperwork (you already did that part) along with your ID, check for $80 and LS papers. Present all this when you arrive, sign your permit and go home. Your permit will arrive in a few days.

Be there a little early, wear neat casual clothing, be polite (yes sir or ma'am no sir or ma'am) be sure to have all the forms. Good luck tomorrow.

Turned in my app this morning to Sac Co! Everyone was courteous and helpful. I got no negative vibes from anyone. I was there a total of 45 minutes, and sat with at least six other applicants, coming and going.

The deputy said he thought the next committee review was next week, so he thought I'd get my notice in a week or two. He never used the word "rejection".

I've got a good feelin' about this...!

My wife's appointment was in the afternoon. No body when we got there. Done and out within 30 mins. Hope she got it.

Interesting..... I did mine 2/14 and haven't heard anything yet. The EARLIEST I expected it was this Wednesday (2/23). I don't know if I should take comfort in that I am not the only one or not. Since there is nothing in my background (and my professional license requires Livescam), I too have no reason to suspect clearance problems. Let's hope they come next week.

Well since you have a scam going on in your profession, maybe that's the reason of the delay. lol just kidding ...

Just wait and it will come. You guys are lucky to have a fast processing time, Unlike us who apply early 2010. It tooks more monthssss before we get the permit.

It took three weeks for my final clearance letter from the Sheriff (even though the results were sent to them the same day I had live scan done) and I had been livescanned about a year earlier. It appears the approvals come more quickly if you have been livescanned recently. It seems the people who have never been livescanned before are taking longer even though there is nothing in their background.

I think I already know the answer to this, but I had my initial interview in late January. At the time they said I should hear around now, but I've since seen several people with earlier appointments receive their approvals. I have a clean background, unless there's something I don't know about. From what I've seen here the system works a bit funny sometimes, with two applications going in side by side but one coming much earlier or later.

So I'll just keep waiting, and if I haven't heard in a week or so contact Amber.

Are the approval/denial letters sent by regular mail? Do they look like junk mail that my wife might have tossed?

Approval/Denial letters come in an envelope with the Sheriff's Department as the return address. Not easy to miss or mistake. Give the "wait" another week. It really shouldn't be much longer.

I did livescan on 2/14 and received my final letter today. If anyone also did livescan around the time I did you might have your letter today or tomorrow. I sign on the 15th so hopefully end of this month I'll have my permit in hand. Good luck to the rest of you and a big thanks to CGF. Next check I get a donation will be made.

I just scheduled an appointment for myself on August 24th. Dad scheduled his for August 18th.

This will be a grueling 6 months until I hand in my application. After the first interview I assume it shouldn't take more than a month or two until I get the actual permit. Right?

It will take about two months after the initial interview if things do not get delayed. A large portion depends on how fast the livescan clearance gets back to the Sheriff's department.
