That's already the case in CA, and now with the potential Bullet button ban, and Ammo BS our problems in CA are bigger than Hillary.

Not to mention the handgun roster is never going to pass nationwide, but we got it here already.

However, if she does get elected, by the time I move out of this state my chances of living in a gun free state may have already been stripped away if she gets her way nationwide.

So, now that trump is president, any chance of the NRA being able to take this to a red SCOTUS and giving us our freedom to CCW? or are we screwed because of our area code?

The Supreme Court has extended the deadline to file their final appeal to Jan 12, 2017.

Trump will be able to appoint 1 new justice in late Jan/ early Feb. There will be 9 justices on the Supreme Court. It takes 4 to ageee to hear a case.

There is a chance we can win with a 5-4 Court. it will come down to how many conservative members of the court would be willing to embrace a fundamental right to carry a handgun outside the home for the purposes of self-defense. Just because they are Republican appointees doesn't mean they all have the same view of the second amdendment.

So are we hoping for the supreme court to make a change or get a new sheriff in SD County that thinks differently?

Which has the potential to happen earlier?

The Supreme Court Petition has been filed.

The question presented is:

Whether the Second Amendment entitles ordinary, law-abiding citizens to carry handguns outside the home for self-defense in some manner, including concealed carry when open carry is forbidden by state law.

The folks in NYC and DC are still waiting for their SC rights as McDonald is now a mess. A SC decision isn't the end, it's a new beginning... for further delays, challenges and re-files.

Unfortunately, that was overly optimistic. Senate confirmation hearings don't even begin until March 20th.
