Default Any Vortex Spitfire 3X Fans?

Thinking of picking one up. For those that like them, let's hear why.

Thanks - Dave

I have one and I like it. I got it because I wanted an acog but didn't want to spend acog money. Its worked well so far and I have easily made hits at 500 yards on an 18" steel.

Someday I want to get a nice variable but until then my spitfire is just fine

I had a Spitfire 3x for awhile and while I liked it, the eye relief was fairly short (pretty much the case with most 3x sights)

I have been using a Primary Arms 3x recently and am starting to think it is a better value. I like the reticle more, but that is usually user preference. For me, the reticle on the Spitfire was a bit too fine.

The Primary Arms is compatible with ACOG mounts which is great if you want to change the mount. Only ADM makes a QD mount for the Spitfire that I could find.

I have one on one of my ARs. It's a very good optic for the price. I like it.

Speaking of reticle preferences... when is Primary Arms going to put the KISS reticle in their 3x and 5x prism scopes. I have one in a 1-6x24 and I absolutely love it. I would buy 2 5X prism scopes the day they announce it.

I was contemplating the Spitfire 3x or Primary Arms 3x for my 10.5" pistol. I ended up going with the Primary prism with an American Defense QD mount cuz why not? I have been very happy with it beside battery life and the very short eye relief(my eye lens is inline with my charging handle). I like it because I can make easy hits out to 500ish yards and using the paralax with both eyes open I can essentially superimpose the reticle in my vision like a 1x without looking thru the optic. At first I was skeptical on their ACSS reticle but damn do I love it now after shooting it for a bit.
