Flushcups are easy to do yourself, wherever you want them.
They are only a few bucks.
You drill a hole and bed them into the hole.

So they're epoxied in there? Not mechanically attached in anyway?

I guess you could just make a mechanical undercut in the stock, a groove in the flushcup and bed inbetween. It would be pretty much locked in place.

Randall-about the throating issue, can we just spec the reamer with a short throat and get a $60 throating reamer? Then everyone could cut the throat to what they wanted, right?

You guys always crap on the HS DBM, but for $270 with a 10rd mag included, it's not a bad deal.
Yeah, I know that the mags are hard to get and cost $30 more than AI mags, but I already have a few HS 10 rounders that run good.
I'm sticking with HS.

Does the Badger DBM include a mag with it, or do you buy that separate?

If I had HS mags already I'd stick with it as well. I already got a bunch of ai mags so thats the route I'll be going. Whatever works for the best price. Who am I to judge. We all got beat at scprc by a dude running a stock 700p topstuffer.

Correct.

You CAN also attach them with a screw, but you would need to epoxy a block of metal in there for the screw to thread into.

If the Badger does come with a 10rd mag...
$335 for the bottom metal and 1 mag
$80 for another 10rd mag

HS does come with a 10rd mag.
$280 for the bottom metal and 1 mag
$120 for another 10rd mag

NOT accurate at all.
The barrel needs to be setup in the lathe and a stop made to measure/repeat throat depth.

I would never hand-throat a barrel.
The cutting action is interrupted due to the fact you are cutting the rifling.

always the better mousetrap - have ya ever given thought about actually building one rifle and then shooting the crap out of it - I've heard tell of people who have one or maybe two custom guns with thousands of rounds through them that only change the barrel when it wears out

They had a nice deal on M70/FN SPR B/A at CDNN for 425.00 for something like that. They were cheap!

Randall can you hook me up on one of those 24" DPMS from your magazine we were looking at at your house the other dayy?

Don't worry about the 107's. If we're going to throat it for the 107 smks, i don't want the barrel. I'd rather buy a 6.5 mm of some sort. The 111's, 115's or ergers are what makes the 243 a winner.

Bergers. I would buy 50 boxes of them on the next GB and call it a day. Mixed reviews are out about DTACS and 1-8. I have NOT heard anything about the 111's yet. But i have heard magic about the 6.5 creedmore from the bukkiduikie.

sounds like .243s with broughten medium palma 1:8 barrel/ match chamber for 111 dtacs, hs stock, holland recoil lug, little bastard muzzle brake, dunno yet for bm, seekins 20MOA base/rings, timney trigger, 700 sa, and possibly the new nightforce ffp scope when it comes out. oh yeah, harris 6-9 swivel bipod with tnutz and tis sling and a homemade bolt knob mod that joe made. no cosmetics additives, straight bare metal with no finish expect for the action. if i do decide to finish it, it'll be painted krylon flat white to reflect any light/heat.

I built it with a Badger Ordinance handguard though.
