Something to keep an eye on this session.

If this passes it's going to be a big hit across the board.

Main thread for this is in Politics and Activism, http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1512886, but certainly OK to discuss here in FFL.

There is no value at all complaining or analyzing or reading tea leaves to decide what these bills really mean or actually do; any bill with a chance to pass will be bad for gun owners.

The details only count after the Governor signs the bills.

The liberal state legislature is in place for no other purpose.

The requirements could cause many dealers to go out of business. No need to ban guns if no one can buy one.

Exactly. The video and audio recording requirements are a huge burden for a small business.

For ANY business. The larger the business, the more cameras, the more data to be stored at the business location (stupid aspect to the law).

On a 10 camera system to record decent quality video and retain that video for 5 years you would need to keep around a 250 Terabyte system on site just for the Video, now add sound recording and that hard drive space goes way up. CA is just going to make it impossible to comply with any new laws unless you are a big national store and can pass along the expenses of operating in CA to your customers and other stores out of state.

There's enough other crap in there that will still kill the majority of the home based dealers. Exactly as they have planned all along.
