If you mean in the last month...

Ka-Bar Becker BK2

Gerber Prodigy

Schrade SCHF3N, SCHF10, SCHF30, and SCHF49.

If you haven't looked at the Schrades, check them out, great value and quality. There are great videos showing each knife on their listing on Amazon.

Good stuff. Yeah I used to switch from guns to knives and back again all the time. Since moving to Nevada though I'm full throttle in to guns and training again. Haven't bought a new knife in a while.

Anyway, pic thread so here's my well used Fallkniven A1 in a custom sheath from Doug Wilson at YellowHawk Custom Kydex.

Very nice. I like the VG10 steel that the A1 has. That and S30V are my favorites. I hated getting the Benchmade’s with D2 and 154CM but that’s all they come with.

I'll tell ya...whatever Fallkniven does with their VG10 its incredible. Even better than Spyderco's VG10. I have beat the living hell out of that A1 on camping trips chopping wood, batoning, throwing it in to trees, and at the end of the day it would still pop hairs off my arm. Its insane. A lot of people say the A1 is overpriced and that's how I know they've never used one.

Got a couple of the Maserin Plows... interesting traditional with nice wicked sharp D2 blades, great handles, super low price, size between a GEC bull nose and Bull Buster, fit/finish over all quality between a cheap gritty MAM and a GEC. Probably gift one or two of these and use one.

No word on the TG from Busse... they have never taken so long to ship after taking the money. I might have a new Lon Humphrey Reaver trade in before I get the TG.

That looks great. I am a Kershaw / ZT nut for sure.

One new brand I have my eye on lately is Tuyaknife and the Bruiser... seems like a winner. I might get one someday.

Got a new knife that I made a trade for... traded a Team Gemini Battle Grade (.220" SR-101 coated black with a leather sheath). Seems like a good trade, this one is gorgeous compared to the Busse. Lon Humphrey Reaver, 1095, Buckeye Burl/white liners.

Most of the fixed blades I've picked up didn't even come with a sheath or the included one wasn't great. you can have a large or small teklok with kydex if the stock one isn't working for you.

The pic of the 1st custom sheath is exactly what I was thinking about. The OEM sheath w/clip is ok but the Tek-lok sheath pictured would be SO MUCH better. However, I want to keep the retention system and not sure how they'd do that but I'll contact them to discuss making one for my Hell Fire and will see if what kind of design they can come up for making a sheath for my Gerber Mark I as well.
If you want some kind of lock talk to the guy at TIE TACTICAL.

Kydex for those knives abounds. Those are so popular you can find a dozen sheath makers for them googling. As far as top notch with locking retention, TIE.

I hear ya. Some gimme sheaths are so bad that a great quality .80 or .93 kydex sheath with prefect retention that you can use any clip with makes it a whole different knife... kind of like a Glock 19 riding in a $5 Uncle Mikes holster compared to a Gcode or whatever.

Got a user of an old SR-77 SYKCO model - Dumpster Mutt DC... no stripping and no worrying about de-virginizing it... Nice little blade. Glad I got it since I sold my 511. I like this better.

I got a custom shop Buck 110 from Jim Buck himself. He handed it to me personally about a week or two before he died. It is now a prized posession. No proof of it other than he was at the same event I was at, but it's now something I cherish.

Anza is a cool knife company. I have a six piece steak knife set that Charlie Davis made for me over 25yrs ago. At the time I met Mr. Davis at a gun show in San Bernardino. Back when they would fill 3 buildings at the Orange Show fair grounds. Wont't see that happen again.

Full Clip that is a good looking knife.

Its my first high-end knife and it definitely has a different feel to it. I think its the all titanium construction. Feels sorta 'hollow' when I flip it out. Don't get me wrong, its solid as a rock & smooth, just different. All my other folding knives have scales & I think that makes a huge difference in feel. Its beautifully machined & a pleasure to flip & stow. Would definitely recommend.

I want it. I thought it was a Tough Thumbs / Tuffknives custom the first 3 seconds I saw it... sweet. Never knew WE made stuff that didn't look like a Sinkevich... they make a lot of beefy designs.

IMHO you cannot possibly tell anything without close in-person examination... and even then you need to have a real one for side-by-side... and then really use them both for a while.

Like I said, I got a NIB 0560 on the Blade Forums Exchange that was REAL for $150 shipped. I think that is the way to go if you want a great discount. Trade or buy from someone there. Knock-off's are never the same as the originals. Not to say China cannot build a good knife. If paying $125 for a knockoff I'd make damn good and sure that it cannot be had somewhere else for $15

I wanted the ZT0562 more (which according to various reviewers is considered a better knife than the 0566 but didn't want to pay the $200+ asking price for it. May get it later but I've got a very nice IMO "beginner" set of ZT knives that cost me an average of $145 each.
You can certainly compare the 0909 to the knock-off and see how it stacks up fit and finish-wise even though it is not the same model. One of the great deals going right now would be hunting down a new 0801, 0801 BW, or better yet, the 0801 Ti in S35VN for around $160. NEW. 0801 is one of the best. Top 5 ZT's IMHO.

0566's and 0350's are assisted... and have bushings. They feel completely different than a 0909 for example. I think the 0566 is a good edc for sure... 0350 I gave away to someone who appreciated it.

Definitely nice looking.

Love those Axis locks... all I have today is a Maserin Plow, doesn't even have a lock. Pretty nice slipjoint for $30. If you buy a few you might only get one with good centering, but they are nice sharp D2 blades.

Doubt that anyone on the Blade Exchange Forum (or anywhere else) would offer one for less than these prices if those are the going for that much on eBay.
You might be surprised... that's how auctions work None today, some tomorrow. Same for the exchange. Plus you have 0561, 0562, variations and updates, etc... no reason a 0560 which though not a classic yet IMHO lacks a lock bar insert and can have lock stick (titanium to steel contact). If your money is better spent on knock-offs, more power to you. I do agree that if it is a Chinese copy where you KNOW the markings are a lie, I'd doubt it was made of some USA powdered super steel as marked either.

However, I did make an offer on a used 0562 being currently sold by another CalGunner but I don't think he'll accept because the offer is 20% below what he wants but I'll be happy to buy it if he does.
So let's see a pic of your collection now. There are so many knives out there. Lots of choices, have fun.

Ki4458T2, etc...

Honey Badger, Cold Steel. CS Large Luzon is $32 at Optics Planet. I'd just rather get a inexpensive "original design" China knife than a China knife that is expensive because it costs something to COPY a popular USA knife and duplicate the markings, appearance, etc... That $125 could have gone towards a legitimate and far superior WE, Kizer, Ruike, etc... more coming out all the time/ There are legit Chinese knife companies with proven quality standards, designs, and materials and you are choosing to buy knock-offs of USA models. It won't make sense to some people, but free country for sure Enjoy.

FYI I see ZT 0560, etc... come up all the time at the prices we talked about. I sold a 0560 and 0566 CF this year for $260 shipped (the set) - couple months ago. If you look on EBAY once and say OH EFF IT they are $300... you aiin't finding them.

My $50 pick:

The Thermite is ok... I have had a couple... a blackwash and a satin. They are Hinderer designs with a "Spanto" tip. They are not versions or variants of a 0566 at all. The 0566 is the small version of the 0560, but the 0566 is speedsafe assisted and heavy for the size because it lacks the titanium frame of the 0560. The 0566 carries much better than the 0560... it would be a sweet knife if it was a KVT flipper. The Thermite is the definition of Chinese Kershaw... it works, but fit and finish varies a lot between "dupes" and there is a lot of blade play, cheap bushings, needs frame dehorned lots of sharp frame / lockbar edges, weird grinds. I have not had a Thermite where I could tighten it enough where the blade wobble was gone and it still deployed. Check out the CRYO and CRYOII, CRYO G10... more Chinese Kershaws. If you get a "good" one they are ok. The KVT's seem to have the least blade play of the cheap Chinese models... like NURA's, etc... but when you get to $30-$40 you could also buy a BLUR or LINK (KERSHAW USA).
