Default Evan Low (Assembly Member, 28th District) shoots at Los Altos R&G?

https://www.facebook.com/Assemblymem...54533338520823

I saw this post featured on a site, but I don't want to link that Editorial since it may be uncivilly worded. I'm hoping to keep this civil in tone and respect everyone's hobbies. I feel it's fair to discuss it here since it's on his "public/official" Assembly Member Facebook page and shared openly. (If he wished it to be private he would have set permissions accordingly.)

It comes off like a PR stunt gone wrong. I find it odd he openly advertises this as his hobby while actively disenfranchising the very people standing next to him at the range. It comes across as disingenuous, especially with quotes like this:

http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-p...nap-story.html

Many of my friends are afraid to take their guns to the range because of the current legal mess, registration, what is and isn't allowed, etc. Others who compete nationally in CMP highpower sport are having to re-purchase hundreds of dollars of equipment and shoot with a handicap under a "special alternative rifle" category. And here he is posting on Facebook about blasting on the weekend with gun emojis.

If he was standing next to me, I'd leave him alone. To each his own. But this is not good publicity for Los Altos. Especially with the Chabot closure still fresh in our minds.

(Image of Facebook post removed since Mr. Low's photo violates LAR&GC rules, and may be copyrighted.)

Also, isn't taking a written test on the rules now mandatory before going to Los Altos? Did he get permission from the people on the pistol range in the background of that photo?

"C. Photography: Never take pictures or record video of other people or their property without their prior permission"

I'm pretty sure that in addition to breaking the rules, it's just bad etiquette. Especially given the nebulous state of laws.
