I called Todd last week regarding a firearm interested in purchasing. He did not have the exact one I needed but he was very helpful. He was very quick to answer questions and very knowledgeable and not condescending whatsoever. I will be coming back to him in the future.

Hey all,
Setterarms has updated there hours again. We are open Wednesday 12-7 Thursday 12-7 Saturday 10-4 We take lunch in the middle. We changed the hours because of the lack of customers coming on the other days that we use to be open on. Also we are currently looking to permanently close on December 31m which means we will be be no longer accepting any sales or transfers after the first week of December. Summer was horrible for us and sales have not been there. Our location doesn't help either because our landlord won't let us put up any advertising on the street. So depending on sales we will possibly be closing. This saddens and angers me at the same time. If we do have enough business we are trying to move to a much bigger place so we can gunsmith again in Walnut Creek, unless we can find a location in Colma. If you are having a hard time finding me we are on 2065 North Broadway. Across the street from the Post Office above Tulio's resturant on the second floor in suite 202. You can park in the back of the building for free. Our Transfer fee is $80 (which includes DROS) PPT $35 Hope to see you in the shop. |

Okay, so I hope Setter isn’t closing. I just found out they are in WC about a mile from my house. Bad news for my bank account, hopefully good news for Setter.

Tullio Pizza made a pretty good pie back in the day.
We may need to do a East Bay meet and group buy in a few weeks? -g

Saw setter on channel 5 news today talking about the new ammo restrictions. I don't know why the news went to retail stores to talk about online ammo being restricted but whatever. He conducted himself well.

Hey Everyone,
Yes we are staying open. We are trying to open a bigger shop to include Gunsmithing and Firearms Training. Is anyone interested in that? We are also accepting ammo deliveries. Our policy is $10 to accept it and $5 a day for storage open or closed. Also if there is anything we can improve upon as a business we would like feedback. We really want to see what we can do for the future. Thanks Todd |

Hi Todd, if you want to continue using this forum to advertise your store, you’ll need to sign up as a vendor by sending me an email at advertising@calguns.net.
Thanks

Any update on Setter arms? Their website and phone are down, and Yelp is reporting permanently closed, all of which are bad signs... Hoping they are OK and just moved or there is some technical problem...

OK for anyone else who winds up here, I found on another thread Setter posted that he was forced to close in July due to his lease closing and no one in town giving him another lease. Best of luck to him and I hope he can open a new shop soon.

Unfortunately, Walnut Creek, Luke many Bay Area cities, have gone WAY upscale in terms of rents etc. just take a stroll downtown and it looks like a mini-SF.

Have you tried City Arms in PH? They have a small selection of ARs (featureless).

City Arms (in Pleasant Hill) or Primo Tactical (in Downtown Walnut Creek). You can find themnon Yelp... don’t let the lingerie scare you.
