Sad to say, but reading these posts makes me wish people were required to take a gun safety class before being able to buy a gun. Similar to getting a hunting license. Seeing people yelled at and in one case having a gun taken out of their hands for sweeping, and another kid looking down the barrel after he had a jam makes me very uneasy at the range.
With that said, I go to ASC a lot and have never had a problem. The staff has been pleasant to me, but I do imagine they deal with a lot of idiots, because ive seen them shooting. The range isnt that great though, the targets are slow, its only 25 yards and there are bullets holes that make you wonder what the hell someone was thinking. I do wish they'd check peoples guns to see if they are loaded before they let people in the range. Plus its $15 for as long as you wat to shoot.
Ive shot at DSC as well, wasn't that impressed. The staff seemed alright, the range wasn't any better than ASC, but seemed like the wait was longer. Haven't tried their rifle range, so I'll have to update this when I do.
With that said, if anyone's ever in Scottsdale, try out the Scottsdale gun club. I wish our ranges were that nice!
