Glad I'm not alone.

AIM I've found to be the best generally on prices and service - anyone else I should check?

I got my COE/03 recently, but before that my LGS charged $0 for ammo shipped in, only CA Tax and nothing more. (Vallejo)

Another one charges 2 cents per round. (Sacramento) Not the best, but not bad.

Google “boycott Cheaper Than Dirt” or “Cheaper Than Dirt sucks” or “f*ck Cheaper Than Dirt” or any variation of that theme that you can think of.

No, I think you may be alone in still trying to use them. I haven't even considered using them for anything in well over 20 years.

Not CTD, I was referring to AIM Surplus in the second half, or did you mean no one's used them either? I love AIM. Don't you dare dishonor their name, fine sir!

Cheaper than dirt is better than sg ammo so the ctd hate is humorous. At least ctd will sell us something, sga we cant even buy an empty ammo can or ball cap. He blocked everyhing to california because his volume is too low. If we were maybe 25% of his business maybe he would sell to us. 10%, not enough money for his time. In a race to the bottom, sam wins. He is one of the few that has completely blocked this state. Its all about the $$$. Think about that when you figure out who supports the second amendment and who doesnt.

I don't think they send out confirmation that they received your paperwork.
I emailed mine, waited a couple of days and then placed an order and indicated in the comments section that my 03FFL and COE was on file. My order shipped out a few hours after it was placed.

That was the last price quoted to me at Imbert and Smithers by the owner Gina about a month ago.

Default ammo.com

I just placed my first order using my C&R with ammo.com and they were incredibly helpful. I sent the license and COE and within a couple of hours I was good to go. Prices seem to be fair and shipping wasn't the worst I've seen. Their customer service so far has been exceptional.

Default Two More Sellers

Vizard's Guns & Ammo - $500 minimum order ships to FFL's

https://vizardsgunsandammo.com/blog/...al-ffl-dealer/

Bud's Gunshop - No minimum - ships to listed FFL's

My FFL was already listed as receiving ammo so don't know what their registration process is for FFLs.
Note about Bud's: Super Slow shipping items. Days waiting for orders to ship.

Just received my shipment from Outdoorlimited.com. Just had to send them an email with attached C&R/COE documents and got a quick response ammo purchase was gtg. No free shipping but low prices cost less with shipping than another site with the same ammo with free shipping.

This thread is for vendors shipping directly to your doorstep if you have an FFL03 and COE. Thanks for contributing but looks like your info is for a couple dealers shipping to FFL01.

Buds was actually on this list but then removed after someone confirmed they would rather not go through the trouble of vetting FFL03 holders.

In March I bought 750 rounds of 12G from SGAmmo. Sadly as of today, the California option in the delivery address does not appear...hence...you can add stuff to your cart, simply can not check out...

Even the biggies are not sending ammo to CA...MidwayUSA, Brownells both NO.

Brownell's IS selling ammo to CA residents. You have to have a 01FFL to send the ammo to for transfer or be a 03FFL/CoE holder.

Wrong. Brownells is a big YES. Brownells supports California gun owners and helps defend the 2nd Amendment by shipping ammo to FFL01 dealers and directly to the doors of FFL03 collectors in this state. Do not defame them by lumping them in with those vendors driven solely by profit who can’t be bothered.

Contacted Midway. They said that they "are working to get back in working order with California".

I let them know that if AB-2382 (Background checks on Frames, Barrels, Trigger Groups for ARs essentially, etc.) passes, that those too will also be covered under the FFL03 + COE exemption, and that it's important that they implement a system to accept FFL03 + CoE Holders.

They had some Federal Guard Dog 9mm on sale recently that I wish I was able to nab.

I need to update my paperwork with some of these places.

J&G, Brownells will get a bulk of any online ammo I buy. I like dealing with them. Hoping Midway gets things figured out also.

Anyone yet to go out of state and make in person purchases have to show 03/COE? Glad we also have that option with some of us so close to NV, Oregon and Arizona.

Most out of state vendors don't care where you are from when you are buying ammo in person in their state. At least not in any state that I'd ever visit. Because there is no law against anyone from CA buying it on a visit, with or without 03FFL.

The only restriction applies to people wanting to bring back ammo they acquired, and the only people who are going to be interested in that is CA LE, not Cabelas Reno.

Thumbs up FREEDOM Munitions is back on the Menu Boys!!

FYI:
: Brenda A (Freedom Munitions)
May 14, 09:16 PDT
Dear Jim,

A California customer with a personal FFL (including the 03 – Collector of Curios and Relics FFL) along with a COE (Certificate of Eligibility) can have orders shipped directly to his or her home address.
In order to proceed, please send both documents (the 03 FFL and the COE) via email at support@freedommunitions.com and we will upload them to your account. Every order will have to be placed by a Customer Service Representative via phone by calling our Customer Service Team at 208-746-3668. The address on the FFL must match the shipping address on the order. We are unable to process orders without the COE.

Just want to thank all the guys and gals who put their time in researching these various vendors.

For those of us with any FFL or COE is that we got it for a reason and to keep the culture alive for ourselves, but to have advocates for us to still keep it going out of state or online is a big deal.

I nearly gave up on rimfire 5 years ago when the crunch was at it's fiercest, but to enjoy it still for plinking and teaching my son, this effort makes it all worthwhile.

Has anyone purchased from PSA successfully recently? I got some pushback from a CSR even though I had submitted my FFL03/COE via email.

UPDATE: I sent in my FFL03/COE again but this time via the message form (under FFL Dealer/Ammunition Shipping Question) instead of directly to the compliance department email address. Order was shipped today. Moral of the story, don't call in because the CSRs don't know.

Yes, I have. It seems that some of them are using the FFL EZ checker to verify FFL03s, but that site is for verifying FFL01 licenses and does not work for FFL03. I had to actually call them and tell them that the website they were using does not work to verify FFL03 licenses. They released the hold they had on my ammo order and it shipped the next day. I dread going through this again next time I order from them.

"FFL eZ Check*does not*validate Type 03 (Collectors of Curios and Relics) and Type 06 (Manufacturer of Ammunition) licenses. All attempts to check the validity of Type 03 and Type 06 licenses will result in an error message, even though the licenses may be valid. Do you have to pay CA sales tax when you order online and ship to your home via your 03ffl/coe?

Usually no. If the retailer in question has a presence in CA, then there will be CA Tax levied. If the retailer in question has no presence in CA, there will be no CA tax levied on your order.

You don't have to pay SALES tax as only a company with a CA resale license can collect the sales tax.
You are responsible for reporting your out of state purchases and paying the USE tax on it though.
That applies to all items that you purchase from outside of the state where the sellers are not collecting the SALES tax and sending it to the state on your behalf.

When asking BangItAmmo if they sent to CA FFL03+CoE they replied:
"We sure do!
Thanks! "

You do understand that this thread is about Ammo Vendors that ship to 03FFL/COE Holders right?

Not about stores that accept shipments of ammo.

www.snipercentral.com is good to go for 03FFL/COE holders. Best way to submit your paperwork is to use the contact us tab and get ahold of Bryon Eyre. Sent copies of my paperwork last night and they replied this morning with a go ahead to order.
