I won't mess up the poll since all I've hunted are coyotes. Looking to branch out and do a lot more in the coming year.

You left off Dove. That would be my vote. It's cheap and the perfect hunt to hang out with the kids/guys/family on. And, if you're a bad shot, you can shoot all day.

Squirrel,I let them get big and fat off my oak nuts and and then blast them. Then another brave one fills his hole and claims the tree for himself. The older they get the wiser and more alert, makes for a tougher hunt.

I read the hunting forum every day but as I get older I have learned not to open my mouth in a public forum

Ducks #1. Nothing better than some hot coffee, a cohiba, the smell of your wet dog and the sound of ducks sailing over your blind.

Doves #2. Jess Robertson, "They are the filet mignon of the sky."

Mr Billy......William if you will. Mountain Goats by far and away were the best two hunts of my life, it has everything a western hunter cherishes: spike camp, steep terrain, stalks leading to nowhere, UP and plenty of it. Whoever said prior the smell of wet dog and coffee is right on too, duck hunting is my #2

The social aspect of Duck/goose is unsurpassed. A lot of great stories, great times, and memorable shoots in a blind or pit. Probably the best is horrible weather with driving snow that made the ducks and geese come to food. Yeah it's like 15* out and your freezing your *** off but when they come, it's like heaven opens up and stuff drops everywhere.

Seriously? No rabbits?

Delicious and they're everywhere.

As much fun, if not more, than dove hunting. If you can't harvest rabbits for food, you should take up fishing. Or golf.
