San Diego S&W, Winchester, and Ithaca Dealers
It's been a while and I'm looking for some different style firearms so please recommend San Diego Dealers for S&W M&P revolvers like the Model 340 and Model 60 no lock revolvers, Winchester Model 70 (the new ones) or FN SPR, and Ithaca 37 20 or 12 gauge. Looking for local shops with great service and reasonable prices but also open to suggestions if buying online and shipping to FFL dealer is better. Online I'm most familiar with Top Gun Supply but they do a lot of Sig and semi-auto.
Have had good experiences with Discount Guns in El Cajon, Project 2k, and the SD Police Equip that was on El Cajon Blvd but has been closed for a while. Thanks! |

I've shopped at each store mentioned so far and the only place I had a bad experience at was SD Police Equipment. I like to drive around and shop when I'm looking for a new gun though. You can go to the website of the gun brand you're looking for and they will usually have recommended sellers in certain areas. Try 2 or 3 of the recommended sellers and see which store you feel best working with. You could also try Gunbroker but my experience is after buying online and shipping to an FFL the fees catch up to you and you may just be better off finding the best price locally. Used guns would be an exception.
If you're up in the north county Chad at Empowered Firearms is a good guy. As far as Fine Firearms and WBT are concerned, I've had good dealings at both stores. Fine Firearms may have more in-stock guns as WBT is a little more specialized towards converted off roster rifles. You mentioned Discount Guns and I've used their Morena store numerous times. You can get good deals there but sometimes the store gets busy. Good luck and have fun. |

Check out Ammo Bros on Miramar Rd, I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and they have a HUGE selection of firearms. Tons of rifles and handguns and they have the largest selection of revolvers I have seen in San Diego. Two display cases packed full of revolvers from Smith & Wesson, Ruger, etc.
Employees are friendly and approachable, I had nice chats with both of the guys working the counter. Although I didn't buy anything that day I will be going back soon. Other shops I like are Honey Badger Firearms, San Diego Guns and Discount Gun Mart (both locations). Fine Firearms is a nice shop as well but their prices are a bit higher than others. They do have a good selection of reloading supplies if you're into that. Last edited by Oldboyjun; 03-20-2018 at 1:14 AM.. |
