The Chain Link on the Special Forces is really cool. It's much more grippy than appearance would lead you to believe, but of course it's not grippy like the 20lpi on a PRO. I really like the 20lpi, as it works best to keep a consistent grip and seems to help my groups at 20-30 yards. With the 20lpi, you can run completely smooth grips if you want, and have no issues. With the Chainlink however, it's not quite to that level, and I think you would want to choose grips with at least some checkering or other manner of "grippiness".

I never shoot more than 200 rounds in a range session, but I do load some pretty stout range ammo for my .45's. I have never been uncomfortable with 20lpi (which is also on the MSH, by the way), and I went from full-time banker to full-time law student - so I hardly have the hard hands of a carpenter or electrician.
