Here my setup.
Just mounted up a Burris XTR II 4-20x50mm to my custom 18” LR-308. The rings used are APA (American Precision Arms) the base is a Badger 22moa base. As you can see the scope is really close to the rail. I my go to a Leupold AR base or taller rings.
