The M44 was so rough when I got it I was pretty sure it was used by George Washington to chop down the cherry tree

Say hello to my new addition.

As indicated in my sig, it is a Soviet refurbished 91/30 from the Izhevsk arsenal.

I picked it up yesterday, disassembled it cleaned the cosmoline off and promptly lost the trigger pin after dropping the barrel out of the stock.

It would have been nice to have been warned about this possibility- so I'm putting this out there. Take care not to do what I did.

Fortunately, I located the pin and was able to reassemble my new old gun. The stock is not laminated, but closer inspection of the butt reveals a laminate piece dovetailed to the almost blonde colored furniture.

This is exactly what I've been wanting to do to one of my mosin's. Mind if I ask what stock, bipod and scope attachment they are and any issues?

It's an ati stock, winchester bipod, and centerpoint 4-16x40 scope with illuminating crosshairs.
I've had no problems with it, but i just don't like the rings that the scope came with.
I'll end up swapping them out.

Default Mosin Nagant

Although I was born and raised in a small town in N. Ca. I retired from the Army here in Colorado but enjoy your site. I do find it interesting how much the Gun Laws have change while being gone for so long. This is my formal intro, Enjoy...

Its just a pin.If I want to take it off i'll just pry it off, not a big deal. Its a refurbished stock anyway, its not like its original to the rifle.

So my buddy let me keep this belt just because...

Anyway, it's so funny because the material is EXACTLY the same as any Mosin web sling.
I took this pic for ****s and giggles today.

Does anyone see the situational irony in that picture?

Default P-27

Bplvr UN-bubba'd my Finnish P-27 for me and it now at least looks like what it should have looked when it was issued.

Ted and the guys on 7.62x54 had never seen one like it. This is as cool as my M/38 MO triple year stamp . I also have some brother/sister sets of Izzy/Tula,
same year, hex Dragoons . All matching ,including the bayonets.

Mosinitus..................catch it !

Lots of beautiful rifles here, just looked through all 16 pages.

Seems to be a lot of love for wood (no jokes please) here.
Not many plastic lovers?!?!

I can appreciate purists, but as soon as my mosin is here (Dec. 7... my father in-law noted my waiting period date significance), its got a ATI stock, ATI bent bolt handle/scope mount, scope, sling, and a harris bipod waiting for it!
