If you cannot generate revenue, how can you even shoot it at a quarter a round for bulk .223 and fifty cents for 5.56. :what:

Wow guys! Think what you may. But I'm a generous guy myself with the little I have. But since I guess it's not in the thread somewhere else here it is....I NRP promise to donate this rifle to another Calgunner. I will also throw in ammo (let's say 250 rounds) to the person I pass it on to so that way I do not anger the FREE AR gods.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. And to all of you thread crappers... thanks for reading, posting, and continuing to bump this to the top.

P.S. any extra parts will be donated back to people on Calguns. If there are enough extra parts to build 2 guns, one will be donated immediately and the other a little later.

Hell you should just save up for each and every piece. Not ask for free habdouts.

OP. . . Update your 1st Post, let us know what you have already, this way we can avoid sending you 7-8 muzzle breaks, and instead send you something you need.

For those of you who are somewhat new around here, there was a time that most members here would ship guns on their own dime, to a FFL for somebody who offered to buy it, BEFORE receiving the money for it. We had a sense of honor and respect around here and trusted each other to do the right thing. Just saying . . .

There has never existed a time where doing the above would ever be considered a good idea unless you knew or had previous dealings with the other party. For Pete's sake, you are talking about 2006, not the 1950's. I've heard enough of the "back in my day" blathering to last a lifetime around here.

I'll assemble the entire rifle for free, assuming he brings his parts down to my shop in the East Bay. I have all the tools, as well as the experience.

You sir definitely have a chip on your shoulder. Are you sad you didn't think of it first ? Maybe someone stole your lunch money too many times on the way to school. Anyhow, I don't know what your problem is but it doesn't make sense that you have to post so many negative comments on this guys thread. Personally I could care less about post count as I don't sit home all day and think of negative things to say. I'm out earning a living so I can afford my hobby and afford to give stuff away to someone who asks. Everyone is entitled to their own prerogative.

Today I will be donating a lower to this guy and he will be paying his own transfer fees. He will go through the legal process to own a firearm just like anyone else. All the conspiracy can be laid to rest because he will acquire a firearm through the normal channels just at a much reduced cost.

Hey Calgunners. Thanks for all the support. Sactoshooter....thank you so much! We just met and transfered a lower to me. Really nice guy! Thank you to him, Uber, and all you who have offered to either donate time, parts, ammo, and expertise to me. I can't thank you all enough.

I dont get why this guy needs an ar15, if he needs a firearm for self/home defence just save up for a shotgun. If you want a cool range toy to show show off, wait till you actually earn it yourself. Yeah i guess you're a lucky guy making more progress than me on the ar15 I'm building and saving up for piece by piece, i just wait till i have the financial means to get it finished

Thanks Captain Random. Who ever said anything about post count? I'm out earning a living too so, I can afford to give stuff away to people who DON'T ask for it. You will have accomplished your subconscious goal of making yourself feel good by donating the lower to this person. You will have done nothing for him, because things are never appreciated that are not earned through the sweat of one's own brow.

I am pretty sure that is referring to God and salvation/redemption. It isn't about gun parts.

My limited 76 years of experience says that people that get something for nothing...place that value on it..nothing..I'm thinking I need a new car and can't afford it..nice old gent...no problems..anyone got a Corvette that might need a little tune up? I'd sure like to have it...when I die my Wife can give it to some lucky Cal Gunner...with an appropriate "handling fee"..

Do you have a buffer, buffer tube, buffer spring, end plate and castle nut?
I think that buttstock is milspec but I'm not sure, it rattled so I never used it.

I gave him a bcg that the gas key came loose due to some poor staking. Hopefully he finds someone who can torque it to spec and it is usable.

We are close guys! I still need the stuff above plus an LPK and a buffer tube set up. I had those lined up but haven't been able to get a hold of the person who said they had it, they're probably busy.
Thanks to those who have donated!

Saved for posterity.

Been watching this thread and chuckling as to how it's developing. On one hand it's great to be reminded as to why I joined and am proud to be a Member of Calguns. Kind, helpful people who can be generous to a fault.

However after seeing how the community has been abused in the past, I'm hoping it does not go the way of the Expertish and such. OP, hope you appreciate the good hearted nature of all those who have contributed and dont let them down.

Hey guys. Haven't been on all week. I'm in nursing classes this week in Napa Valley. Still need lots of parts. If you're in Napa Valley or somewhere near by and want to donate I can pick up today or tomorrow (Friday).
Thanks Calguns.

so you have enough money to pick an item up (even though you claim to be a broke student) but not enough to buy your own parts?

I don't understand why everyone has to be so negative. At this point, I think it's less about providing a free rifle to someone than it is about showing people how generous CalGunners can be. Would I like a free rifle? Sure. But, just because I'm not getting one doesn't mean I have any desire to ridicule nrp or make him feel bad.

Nothing nice to say? Jog on. If you have something valuable to contribute, then do so.

That said:
nrp - I have a trigger, sear, hammer, pins, a CMMG plastic grip with grip screw and washer. If you need any/all of this stuff, it's yours. I'm in Sacramento. You can pick it up if you're in the area, or I will ship ON MY DIME.
