Thanks for the update. Thanks for having the foresight to have a "plan B" available and ready to implement.

I'm also ok with Plan B, just a little bummed about not having that special CGF S#. I hope the members that are part of this GB gets first dibs if another GB is set up with the CGG S#'s I'd be definitely in again

Thanks again Addax and Kaligaran!

I'm totally fine with the Plan B, and thanks to Addax and Kalriganfor being on top of it.

The CGF "exclusive" serial number was nice but not my intention of opting in to the group buy. At the time, I hadn't donated to the CGF but wanted to do *something* to support the Foundation. I still think the CGF logo looks awesome on a lower regardless.

I'm good with Plan B as well. Glad you guys had these lowers in reserve.

May I suggest an email be sent to all members of the group buy? The only reason I visited this page was because I was wondering what our status was, otherwise I would never have learned about the issue and workaround.

Quite a few people had the same thing but found them in their spam folder. Can you confirm you've done an 'all mail' search for 'addax'?

Thanks!

On a side note, I've been browsing a lot of online stores and also the calguns marketplace. It seems a LOT of delays from forgers for lowers.
I just saw a post in the Commercial Sales forum for 80% lowers that said: January 9th; I just got bad news from my supplier, my next order has been set back a month.

I wanted to say thanks again to Addax for hooking us up with their squirreled away stock lowers. There's no telling how long the ordered ones would have taken.

I'm changing the group buy title to CLOSED. I've been getting PMs from people trying to order.
It's gotten a bit out of hand.

We are currently working on the final machining and prep stages of the lowers, and we anticipate shipping them out to Anodizing sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Once we get the lowers to Anodizing, we will get an updated ETA from the Anodizing company.

We are still targeting a late February time frame.

If anything changes, we will provide an update.

Thanks,
AT

Thanks to Addax for having the foresight and flexibility to make sure this group buy stays alive, even in the height of the sh*t storm of the Worst Gun and Ammo Buying Frenzy Ever.

We won't forget what you've done or what a great retailer you are to deal with. You're making huge word of mouth reputation and customer good will.

Looking forward to Xmas in late February. (But won't be shocked by any more date slippage.)

Thanks to Addax and Kaligaran, this could not have been easy and I appreciate it.

Perhaps I am worrying too much, but should the Gov't actually pass a ban early on, is there any thought to completing the DROS on the lowers before they are annodized, then having us return them for completion? I know that would add to the complexity of hte process, but if a ban does come down....

Thank you. We will do our best to keep things on track, but the whole AR industry and market are totally crazy right now.

Right now the Firearms industry (particularly the AR15 / AK market segment) is a mess when it comes to ETA's and deliveries.

We have some of our team at SHOT this week, and we are being quoted 2 years by some AR mfg's for new rifles, and lowers based on the current demand.

We still have orders going back as early as March 2012 for Colt AR15's that have not been fulfilled yet!

This happened before when Obama was first elected. Nov 2008, we were being quoted 1-2 year back order ETA's, then around June 2009, a lot of folks started to see the products available again.

We will do our best to keep everyone up to date.

Once we ship to Anodizing, it is really outside of our direct control in terms of how quickly the Anodizing shop can get our order completed. We hope our lowers will be done per what we have been quoted, but ETA's are basically Estimates.

Basically a Federal Ban still needs to be proposed in Congress, and we pretty much know that this will be shot down by House Republicans and Pro-Gun House Democrats.

If a California SB47 is passed, you basically have until July 1 2014 to register it under a new registration program........
http://sd08.senate.ca.gov/sites/sd08...20Language.pdf

If we DROS people now, and it take the Anodizing company over 30 days, we cannot release / complete the DROS without the lower receiver, and you would have to Re-DROS, so it is basically not a good idea to DROS now.

I don't understand. Why 2 years for new rifles? How long does it take to make on on an assembly line? even starting with raw materials, I would imagine you could start cranking them out by the hundreds or thousands per day. maybe I'm wrong?

New orders are 2 year wait. They are so backed up with backorders, everyone has to take a number and get in line.

On a similar note, the shortage is so bad on all things firearms, google 'cops ammo shortage'.

Even cops can't get ammo. Hopefully they don't need any new firearms anytime soon.

New assembly lines are expensive. The manufacturers have to make plans according to their estimates of long term demand like 5 and 10 years. If they hire and train new staff and buy new equipment to fill orders quickly right now and then demand falls off after a year and a half or so they are left with excess capacity that could sink their business. I'd bet that all gun and ammo manufacturers are ramping up production to the limits of capacity right now but are cautious about expanding too fast, too far.

The market is volatile, hard to forecast. How will possible new gun laws affect sales? Which proposed laws will pass into law?

Please send us an email to sales@addaxtactical.com

We were closed most of last week due to SHOT show, and we are currently catching up on emails.

Send us an email with the subject line Group Buy Invoice.

Thank you,
