Last ditch "miniature tree" attack?

M1 Garand for long range.

M1 Garand double-tap for medium range.

Butt-stroke w/ M1 Garand for close range.

I would grab the Sks with my Mosin sniper for the long range.
Might as well pack a Tokarev on my hip.

Fast bolt action, heavy accurate round, good for long distance (which is where you should be), and its German designed . Downsides, its heavy, long, and uses a bolt action system as opposed to a semi auto weapon, and its limited 5 round internal magazine.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine, and my Yugo M48 Mauser!

I'd be happy for $4.17 a gallon. Its up to $4.42 here in Orange County... As soon as those riots begin, I've got enough C&Rs to put together a rag tag militia that would rival the modern weapon ill-equipedness of the Red Army during WWII.

presuming a true doomsday situation -- Where you are walking and surviving, my choice would be my rem#4 takedown 22lr. Small in its carry case, ability to carry a lot of ammo which is not going to be available.
It does not need to shoot long range as you would likely keep your self out of sight.
If you had a base of operation perhaps more weapons could be kept.
