Default What's next after this semi-ammo ban?

I got in during the SSE, saw a bunch of bullet buttons, was so confused at the time was new to guns. After that I learned the roster kicked in really hard, go check CA DOJ website it's all on one page now, no more toggle by brand like it did back in 2013/2014 . After this, the featureless stuff kicked in and now we got shark fins on rifles. Along with that we had a choice between registration or featureless/maglock, or go all in with registration....Lastly, I get a letter in the mail from Brownells saying no more ammo being shipped in CA, kept the flyer hung on the wall as souvenir. I wish I had more money at the time, would of made the UPS man work harder .Now we have the July 1st semi-ammo ban registration. My question is what's next to come in 2020,2021,2022?

Also please mention if I missed something, I just remember gun ownership is age 21.

Hmm? I know my govt.
All shotguns/rifles limited to 5 rounds. Retrofit required to comply.
All firearms/black powder stuff to be registered with the state. No more unregistered floaters.
Make all COE/03FFL to adhere to same storage regs as a retail FFL. No more C&R privileges or Internet ammo.
Hand loading will require a manufacturing permit.
How's that for off the top of my head.
They won't stop squeezing until we are all unarmed or arrested/fined/lifetime ban on anything firearms related. Felons for life.

What semi ban ? There is no ban on specific ammo like semi ammo. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as semi ammo. I have a 9mm revolver and 45ACP revolver. It’s not semi ammo. It’s ammo in general they are trying to ban

I named it semi-ammo ban as it's still obtainable. I'm using the word semi in terms that it's half a ban in progress...

It's scary as I don't doubt your thoughts one bit...The microstamping non-existent technology on our CA roster would be last on this list, and the fact that is first is even more absurd. Good points to be made here...

They're going to go after all semi automatic rifles next. They've tried already. Next time, they might be successful.

Some people comply and some do not. If the entirety of gun owners refused to comply, and stood as a united front, all the regulations would be meaningless. We got guys on this forum that are so paranoid, they call the cops to see if their guns are legal. Totally pathetic.

No detachable mags. Permanent mags will be limited somewhere between 5 and 7 rounds.

Then the next year, they lower that to 3 to 5 rounds.

Then the next year, they lower that to 1 to 3 rounds.

Then the next year, they ban guns.

Trust me, they're way ahead of us. They thought of this stuff 25 years ago and they're right on schedule.

I expect "smoke" to be re-introduced here as a way of indentifying the source/direction of the gun fire.

I already have an ideal of what's next.

About 10 years ago I read about a senator that was talking about banning "killer calibers"

He stated that we didn't "need" magnum rounds or a 10mm or armor piercing whatever for "home defense"

He cited some study that said if all the guns were banned.......there would still be a almost 50 year surplus of firearms trickling down onto the street......but as the average gun owner only owned a box or two of ammo for each firearm.....that a ammo ban would work MUCH more quickly.....

So, killer calibers was born.

That's why 10 years ago I started collecting ammo with the goal of a lifetime supply, because at some point....who knows, it could happen.

But hopefully I'll be retired and in another state in the next 10 years.

More taxes and fees on retail firearms and ammunition. Maximum quantity ammo purchase limits. Arsenal licenses for people with more than X number of firearms or X rounds of ammunition. Bans on mail order reloading supplies. Eliminate off roster PPT’s. Required umbrella liability insurance policies for gun owners. Continued closing down of ranges and gun stores through lawsuits or other zoning and ordinance tactics. Shall I continue??? It’s about making it such a pain in the azz, expensive, and or illegal that people in Ca. give up or are too scared to exercise their rights.

LOL, you two paranoid nuts have no idea what you're talking about. You obviously have no idea how much the Dems know already. They know what to go after. They know about all the latest new featureless/maglock accessories, all the work-arounds, home-built lowers, EVERYTHING.

LOL... California gun owners uniting... or even agreeing on something? Thanks for the laugh. Veto Gunmageddon was a big fat fail. We had the numbers. Millions of gun owners in this state. Where were they to volunteer or at least sign the petitions themselves? You think they didn't know? YES THEY DID! I was volunteering, we saw plenty of people refuse to sign petitions at ranges, gun shops, and gun shows.

You called me a paranoid nut. That’s funny. Well done.

I wonder how it is ‘they’ learn about all this stuff ‘they’ know.

until there is ammo border patrol, ammo will be brought in from out of state and bypasses all the draconian ammo laws CA has.
