I remember the good old days in this thread when six talked about waiting for silver to hit $19 and gold to hit $1000 before buying. Guru indeed.

What you fail to disclose is on 8/2/13 Silver Fix was at $19.46 and Gold $1,285. My posts on this board in a positive light begin days after these lows (page 5) and my first purchases. Silver ran to over $24 and Gold ran to over $1,400. This was a dead cat bounce it seems but money could have been made easily off the 8/2/13 lows. With the volatility in PM's, a dollar cost average was expressed and even at todays lows, it ain't such a big deal. That's the power of a dollar cost average entry. I'm not second guessing my purchases, a good portion of my purchases in silver are for my grandson and the commitment I've made to see he begins a life of pirate mania stepping up to Gold someday. I'm a buyer again at $1,150 so stated. I'm turn tail and hide should $1,141 break. I've suggested to save fiat in equal amounts of PM purchases with discretionary money. I can more than double down should a new low come or buy my first AR. Thanks for sifting through 64 pages of my stuff, you are a true believer in Fuky Guru's magnetism. |

Tuesday morning Silver popped $1.26 @ $24.29 followed by Weds. @ $24.74 So Cookie who really has the Wisdom of Solomon? You might want to stay over at your thread where you think you have sanctity. http://www.kitco.com/londonfix/gold.londonfix13.html Quote: With the London metals exchange being closed Monday, I am excited to think we could have a little surprise pop Monday from the Asian market to show the Elites who is really running this show here. I expect silver to open or close above $24.40 Tuesday and then it's off to the races should it stabilized above that mark imo. 200 day moving average is in sight on both Gold/Silver, here we come ! It's tough to be me but you will notice the KEY word here is SHOULD it stabilize....it never did and fell Truth Hurts huh |

I didn't sift through "your stuff", nor was I looking for your threads. I re-read this thread from the beginning, and noted that VERY few folks who made any type of prognostication proved to be correct. This includes many statements by you, sixoclockhold, with words like "metals are strong and getting stronger, they will not hit new lows imo.". I could've quoted many of the thread participants. Perhaps I should have included some others also. Yours stood out to me (not just the one I quoted) because you've now recently claimed to be correct in your predictions. Please don't misunderstand me. I appreciate your contributions, and those of everyone else. It's an educational thread. But if anyone goes back and re-reads it, it becomes clear that most everyone's predictions were off base. This is, of course, what is typically true of any specific financial prognostications. I'm not picking on anyone in particular. I'm sure this thread has prompted many to buy during the lows, and that is a very helpful thing. |

Greece, we have a deal, we will print you $96 Billion, allow you to stay in the EU, hold all your assets for collateral and starve your slave trade. Pledge your Gold ? We like Gold.... Then we are to believe that this in someway relates to the price of Gold and it gets a slight slam to $1,154. (down $9) but recovering some Carry On, TPTB have your back again. |

It would be nice if you would follow through on your promise to disappear from this thread. The signal to noise ratio of your posts is very poor and full of crackpot, self-serving sources.

I wish I would have listened to you. I bought up a bunch of silver over the last year around $18 - $19. Now I'm stuck waiting for the SHTF.

Silver at 15.40 is a bloody steal. With the ratio to gold at 75:1, imagine the haul you can make by swapping out a Krugerand for a pile of AG.
I did just that with Swiss Francs in December of 2014 and came away with a nice pile of shiny. |

You only care about Sept vs Dec as a short term trade decision point. As an investor it simply doesn't matter. You have correctly identified the trend for gold though.

Wow! I finally just changed my mind about being bearish on Gold. My opinion and buy is up from here. Double bottom's are what I usually buy. Oil will drop because of Iran....I don't believe a word of Yellen the "dove". We need to keep printing no matter what the cost right now. I think Gold at $1300 by October 15th.
I am dumping stock and buying some HL today. I am in at 2.45. Last edited by MarinRange42; 07-15-2015 at 11:48 AM.. |

The fed needs to raise rates soon , recently Chinese stocks dropped and the way they combated the 30% drop in their market was buy cutting interest rates to stabilize their market , it worked but again their market is dropping so expect another cut to help stabilize their equity markets.
America's rates are at zero , the fed has no ammo to combat a asset bubble that they admit is starting so I believe they will raise our rates and this will strengthen the dollar that will in return lower the price of gold. Last edited by PC9111; 07-15-2015 at 12:26 PM.. Reason: grammer |

Gold can and has gone up with an increasing dollar (temporarily)... I don't believe it is a 1-1. That's what I am hoping for. I am hoping euro breaks down from today. The next news pops up and people won't be able to run to oil for safety like they have the last year in place of gold. We just saw Europe give in to one of their members in the Euro and that's lays the path for Italy, Spain and whomever else needs to re-structure and receive bailouts. We are just one or two things going right for Gold at this point to head higher. Just think of the number of Countries that need it to be higher right now. China, Russia etc. And India is just one right or left turn in government away from opening up the floodgates again. My 2 cents. I think we know within the next week.

If Greece pushes ahead with deal today the Euro will rally , more then likely the dollar will go lower pushing gold slightly higher shortly until the rate cut comes in Sept or December.
The opposite will happen if no deal is struck. |

For me the dollar has one day to prove. Today it peaked just a few cents below the May 26 close. If it cannot close over 97.47 by Friday I see it heading back down to 93.30. That's a risk trade I am willing to take.
