Well I have done the 50 yard shot with better ammo and my groups are tighter than with the old remington golden bullets I have been shooting.

Free standing with the new remington golden bullets

I dunno, maybe my technique has gotten worse since I shot those.

Wow - you are definitely doing something right! You drilled those targets. My best is nowhere close to that good.

I'm just thinking out loud that at 25y, ammo is less important than good fundamentals. I think the further out you go from 50y and beyond is when the better match ammo will be a bigger factor to success provided a good npoa, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, etc are still there.

Got out yesterday to do some shooting. A little windy so I spent a lot of time shooting between gusts and worked out pretty good. Here's the results.

25yd Irons Score-127
50yd Irons Score-135 (Invalid, I took 5 shots instead of 3)
100yd Irons Score-48 (My personal best)
50yd Scoped Score-182 (Flyers with SK Std+, never had that before) Correction, I scored my target incorrectly, Score should be 162. Off by 1 on every bullseye.
100yd Scope Score-60 (Left the .17HMR at home this time)

Will shoot the Pistola Targets on Friday.

Targets:

Nice shooting Izzy. I have not yet been to a range to shoot my matches and I only have two days left, hopefully soon. Have fun with your Pistola

And I did it without the Svage .17HMR. Who said them Marlin .22WMRs can't be accurate even with a sporter barrel? Blasphemy

Your's is correct but I scored my wrong and corrected my post. Thanks for asking the question or I would not have found my error. Nice shooting.

Hey guys, good stuff in here.

A little unorthodox but I'm gonna post another members target.

I was at the Ventura Chapter shoot this evening and I was trying to get people to shoot the 15yd pistol match. I didn't execute very well but one member shot it and looks like a great score. I scored it and hope I did it right, can someone confirm for me please? Without further ado.

Calgunner: Madreno 15 yd pistol offhand - 79

15 YARD PISTOL OFFHAND 75 adjusted score 96
15 YARD PISTOL BENCH 116 adjusted score 123
25 YARD PISTOL OFFHAND 47
25 YARD PISTOL BENCH 53

25 YARD RIFLE IRONS 125
50 YARD RIFLE IRONS 64
50 YARD RIFLE SCOPED 93 I COULD NOT EVEN SEE THIS TARGET
100 YARD RIFLE IRONS 26
100 YARD RIFLE SCOPED 37

Next month I plan to take more time on my targets, It sucked to have to rush everything but life sometimes gets in the way. haha

Hey thanks Peter, I spent to much time building my new AR15 when I should have been out at the range.

Doesn't look like you spent too much time away from the range. . I think I'll be up in your neck of the woods and have some time to get out at one point in August. If you're around, maybe we can get together and shoot that months match? Not sure of the days yet, but close to mid-month I think.

Absolutely, let me know when you get a better idea and we can go to one of the many ranges around here.
