regions were for passing around the jig, if you want to buy the build kit you need to contact the seller.

now we wait.

For those in the bay area. I plan on renting an Inlander easy bolt to complete my pistol. I will have it for 1 week and would be willing to share it with other locals to save on cost. Not sure how to work out the logistics yet, since I will be leaving a large deposit for the rental and shipping is out of the questions since there will be a time restriction. hit me up in PM if you are interested, we can work something out.

Jig update:
Due to demand on the jigs, it looks like the lead time is extending to 4.5 weeks, although JSD is meeting with his supplier today to see about getting more machine time to increase production. I guess there were a lot of pre-orders that he has to serve first. I will update people after I hear back from him. I am also seeing if we can get the two community jigs earlier.

Thanks for the update.

That’s cutting it close. We’ll all be in a time crunch with these jigs if we want to VolReg our builds with personalized serial numbers before 07/01/18

Yea 4 weeks puts us at May 9th. People will need to move the community jigs around quickly. Or if we can get some volunteers we can have people help each other out at one location (everyone would still do their own finishing) to help expedite.

So if I place an order for my own jig with JSD today I’d be looking way past 4.5 weeks to receive it?

Hmmm, I’m thinking of ordering one as a back up in case this community jig program does not go as planned.

Ok just ordered a jig. If I get to use the community jig before I get my own I will end up selling or renting out the jig I bought. Time will tell.

Sharing 2 jigs to build 70+ guns? With 70 different builders having 70 different skill levels and 70 different sets of tools?

Having loaned out a few jigs in my day that never came back usable - all I can say is wow. How much are these jigs? I'd sure be planning on buying one if I were serious about building my own.

Good luck to the guys who don't get the very first use of these jigs.

Not trying to rain on the parade, just keeping it real.
Thats what I’m worried about. Plus I don’t think each builder will get right on they’re build as soon as they receive the community jig. We all have different schedules and free time. Then you might have to wait for the jig in transit with UPS or USPS if being shipped to the next builder. Group builds is where this will mostly play out.

That's definitely a concern. There are a lot of people who bought there own, so I am assuming that the community jigs will do 30-40. The prototype jig that i used had done at least 7-8 and while marked up from trimming the rails, it was in very good shape still. If used correctly (i know that's the big question) I don't see why they wouldn't do 20+ each. Also, as people who bought jigs finish with theirs you will see them hitting the marketplace.

I am hoping that people can organize these group builds. This is my plan for the IE area. That way I can make sure the jig doesn't get destroyed and help people with the steps to finish theirs.

Exactly why I ended up buying my own.

They’re $150.

Random question. When we volreg it, should we list it as single shot? Or should we only volreg as semi auto after we have built it as single shot and converted to semi auto?

A lot of questions here regarding serialization and VolReg’ing.

Allow me to direct you to the correct thread. All the answers to your questions should be there.

Lets keep this thread on the subject with OP’s group buy and the P320 build.

If anyone is up for renting out their jig, perhaps advertise a little? I'm not planning on building this with a group.

Default CLOSED -$649 Sig P320 80% Build Kit Group Buy -CLOSED

I was able to get out to the range today and test my RX build and am happy to report 250 rounds down the pipe without a failure. It looks like the frames and the jig is good to go.

Allow me to direct you to the correct thread. All the answers to your questions should be there.

Lets keep this thread on the subject with OP’s group buy and the P320 build.
that thread is useless since the original post is not up to date, and you have people in there who have been waiting MONTHS to hear back from CA DOJ about the status of their registrations. there are also pending regulations regarding registration, so no one here or there really knows what we'll have to do come july 1st.

in regards to not being able to register by the deadline because of the timeframe on the jigs, couldn't you just start drilling the insert, serialize it, and register that before the deadline?

Well it would get them more answers there than asking questions in this thread.

You can use a carry or compact grip module on a full length slide. The dust cover will be shorter than the slide, but it will still cover the recoil spring completely.
