Default Anyone know how to make a make a calculator app?

So there are lots of apps and sites out there where you can make an app that is a function calculator.

For instance a MBI calculator.

there are lines of text and you just fill in the box then at the bottom hit calculate and your get the answer.

Weight_____
Height_____
Waist______

Your BMI is ##

So I have a simple formula that I want to use to make a simple calculator app but I have no idea how to use those programs to turn the formula into a calculator.

If anyone knows a simple one to use that would be great.

I am looking to make the following function

Y - (2x) = N

I want two lines of text where numbers will be input and N will be the answer.

Total Trip Miles [ ]

Miles from Field Pickup to Plant [ ]

ENTER

Out of way miles [ ANSWER ]

where
Y is total trip mileage
X is distance from a separate full trailer pickup direct to the plant.
N is total out of way miles

X needs to be multiplied by 2.

Y-(2X) = n

Anyone have any advice. I would like to have a simple app on my phone with only this info to be filled in. It is simple math but I still want to make the app.

I think some of them require you to make a formula in Excel and then import that Excel file to the app, but I do not have excel, I do have open office calc.

Android, Apple or Windows phone?

A simple solution would be an Excell like app on your phone. Make a spreadsheet that has 3 fields with the 3rd that will do the math that you want. Open the spread sheet on your phone input 2 fields get answer on 3rd field and your done.

Can't upload a open office spreadsheet version of the file, but can an Excell version. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5b45b88f...alculator.xlsx

To make Android apps on the store as I recall some code-mokeys telling me to put on the market/store:
Android one-time initial fee=cheaper/free apps.
Apple recurrent yearly fees=usually have to charge for apps, and more.

If you side-load (don't know what it is called on iPhruity devices) you can do it w/out a market/store via APK if you enable the feature on Androids.

I was looking at Chrono info for reloading-loggin on Android devices, and the apps already existed.

Easiest way is a spreadsheet; Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers or Google Sheets.

Making an app is substantially more work; the actual formula part isn't but there's a bunch of other stuff you need to deal with.

There are various app makers out there. Iíve not used any of them, but Buildfire seems like it might do what you want.

Years ago I wrote one for Windows using Embarcadero Delphi. They have a version for phone os's now. You can try a free trial. It's a very easy tool to use.
