Is there an option to send the form online? I didn't see it on the ATF site.

On another note, I completed the PDF form but I'm getting cross-eyed trying to verify the fine print. I'm a US citizen and I left items 9-13 blank on the form. Is this right?

no, you can't send the form in electronically. You must print it out and drop it in the mail.

no, you have to fill out section 9. If you are a US citizen, the directions say that you don't have to fill out section 10, but you still have to fill out 11-13

My card was charged June 10, and my license expires on on Sep 1. Nothing yet.

Call them?

I was worried after about 60 days, called them and was told everything was A-O-K. Received it in the mail about 15 days later.

My license expired on 1 Aug. Sent the renewel form + payment to the ATF in late May, within a couple days of receiving it. Finally got my "new" license in the mail at the end of Aug. I called a few times to get a status update, but they didn't really give me anything solid concerning the delay...just that it was pending. At least it was nice to now it had been received and not lost somewhere. Give them a call if you are concerned.

Default New Application

I just mailed my application on Tuesday 6 September 2011. As of this morning 9 September, my CC was charged. Hopefully it will sail through the system.
FL and UT CCW permits took 4-6 weeks each both mailed the same day.

Cant wait to go shopping once I have the CR

Finally got mine.

My CC was charged on 7/21/11 and I received my C&R license yesterday 9/15/11. So almost 8 weeks from the charge for me.

Good luck, and be patient!

edit: 7/21/11, not 8/21/11. my mistake. still almost 8 weeks.

Looks like less than 4 weeks, to me. And that's not bad. This whole thread is about patience.

2FFords, I'm new here also. Welcome to Calguns!

I would recommend sending it off to GA since that is where the instructions specify you mail it to. I sent mine on 8/29/2011 priority with delivery confirmation and it was charged to my credit card on 9/1/2011.

I decided to send off for my COE on 9/16/2011. I elected to sent it overnight express direct to the DOJ overnight address to make up for lost time from the C&R submission date, and WOW I received my COE in my mailbox on 9/24/2011 Very FAST!!!!
That was turned around in just 8 days!! WOW the DOJ has it together! Perhaps it was because I sent my application it to them overnight and it may have speeded up the process? (who knows??)

Just now waiting for the C&R to come in the mail (crossing my fingers that this arrives soon)!

Cheers and Enjoy the forums.

I dislike you all that got yours hella quick. Its like 31 days now and I think ATF is getting tired of me calling lol. They said " it takes 60-90 days to be processed ma'am." I'm 27, I'm not old enough to be a "ma'am" yet. :/

No need to worry or start making phone calls at the 3-6 week point.
Legally, they have 12 weeks.
Sometimes they'll take it, sometimes they don't.

Keep in mind that several of the above posters who reported 3-4 weeks sent their applications in via overnight.
California to the east coast can be 3-6 days via 1st class... it all depends on if the dispatcher routes it to a truck or the airport.

The wait time starts from when they process your app. Not at the time they take the $30.00.
The wait time can be up to 90 days.

No.

Legal limit is 90 days. If you don't have it in 90, it's time to make noise.

I got mine 3 weeks from the date I mailed it.
