Question Anyone here used a gun...

so much that it failed or was unsafe to shoot?

I hear alot of talk about a guns "life expectancy" and it got me thinking, has anyone here ever worn one out? And I don't mean the replaceable barrel was shooting less accurately or the spring failed. I'm talking about a revolvers breech face cracking after 10,000 rounds or a semi automatic's slide rails wearing down to nothing.

Again, not talking about lemons, abuse, or improper maintenance issues.

Pictures of said weapons gets you 10,000 intrewebz point redeemable in 2095!

I've got a RG .22lr that started failing after 6 rounds.

I have a few firearms which are unsafe to shoot due to excessive wear. My Mossberg Brownie's action is worn so much the action does not close all the way anymore. Likewise, I have a High Standard revolver that has the same issue. I have my grandpa's old Winchester 1906 that still shoots fine even though parts of the action have worn so much they are like sharp knives.
