Anyone here used a gun...
so much that it failed or was unsafe to shoot?
I hear alot of talk about a guns "life expectancy" and it got me thinking, has anyone here ever worn one out? And I don't mean the replaceable barrel was shooting less accurately or the spring failed. I'm talking about a revolvers breech face cracking after 10,000 rounds or a semi automatic's slide rails wearing down to nothing. Again, not talking about lemons, abuse, or improper maintenance issues. Pictures of said weapons gets you 10,000 intrewebz point redeemable in 2095! |

I've got a RG .22lr that started failing after 6 rounds.
I have a few firearms which are unsafe to shoot due to excessive wear. My Mossberg Brownie's action is worn so much the action does not close all the way anymore. Likewise, I have a High Standard revolver that has the same issue. I have my grandpa's old Winchester 1906 that still shoots fine even though parts of the action have worn so much they are like sharp knives.
