Default New to calguns and found a good place to buy ammo in sacramento

Hey this is my first post with calguns so bear with me here. I have been looking for a glock for a few months now and I came across this gun store in Roseville called Discount Shooter Supply. Actually I found it by accident I was going to the pond store across the parking lot and noticed it. Anyway they had a A Glock 36 that I bought and the guy I bought it from was actually pretty cool he answered all my questions and didn't seem to mind that I was new to glocks. I had a really bad experience at black rifle and Wildsports before hand. Towards the end of the sale we got to talking about the ammo shortage and reloading supplies and he told me that Discount Shooter Supply was having a huge parking lot sale this saturday from 10-5. So I guess they are rolling out a bunch of bulk ammo because he told me to wait it june 1st to buy ammo for my glock. Anyway I justed wanted to pass my experience on and help these guys out a little with their saturday sale.

OP, So you just join CGN the same day you post about your supposedly good experience at this shop that sounds like an endorsement for this upcoming sale. Seems way too dang fishy.

Can't comment on the OP being associated with them, but it's a decent store for reloading components. Or at least, it used to be prior to the craze.

I've never been in there but they answered their phone, AND had the parts I needed.

I will prob end up checking out that parking lot sale, shipping bulk ammo is usually the deal breaker for me. I'd rather buy it local.

Who cares? Now I know about the sale. Anyway, someone could've just as easily started a thread announcing it specifically similar to "SBR has a ton of stuff".

They also have a store in Sacramento, 9550 Micron Ave #B. Off hwy50 near Rancho can't remember the exit. I bought some 357's for around $28 per 50 a while back.

It's always nice to find a place without a lot of a-holes. I had a good experience at Sac Black Rifle, guy was super cool. BS'd a long time when he was supposed to be putting out a new shipment of knives.

Also had several good experiences with The Gun Range and Shooters Warehouse. Wild Sports no longer has a stranglehold on the gun biz.

I went in there yesterday for the first time. I wasn't sure what they sold. If you like to do your own ammo that's fine, tons of material but I just want a box of .45 which didn't seem possible.

Sold out of it during their big parking lot sale. I saw several bulk boxes of .45 get snapped up Saturday along with every other common caliber. It was actually a great sale with $200 off AR's and $35 any new rifle on the wall. My buddy and I walked out of there two AR's and a Mini 14 later.

I'm late but thanks for the info. I always choose the bad times to go look for ammo.
