of all things, i ended up buying an m&p bb gun, HAHAHAHA it was $35 bucks after the coupon.

it's great to use for working on grip, sight alignment, and to a certain extent trigger press... and gun painting as well!

In and out of work, mostly out, as I am self employed in the construction industry. But with the 20% coupon I am gonna make a decision and go for the 15-22 over the Sig 522. Save $100 plus get sights and a rail. Hope I don't owe income taxes now.

How much was that? Didn't know they had a 870 shotgun there.

The gun was $399, before the 20% off. $319 with the discount. With taxes, DROS fee, etc it came out to $372.

Not a bad deal from what I have read about the price of a 870.

Saw those to, looked really cheap. How are they?

I don't have any $$$ for any of the guns, so I bought a cleaning kit for my AR. Saved $2!

almost bought some ammo while I was there saving a $109.25 with tax added buying an M&P 15-22. Only had winchester 333 and 555 boxes, $20 and $25 respectively. This stuff any good?

yea, it's ok for $35 but not worth it for the original price of $70. its very plasticky. i like it because it's a dead ringer for my m&p 9 in terms of grip size and feeling and trigger shape. it's great for draw drills in the house without people at home freaking out. though there is some weight to it, it is lighter than the real thing though.

Got my m&p 15-22! but the manager wasn't too happy, constantly called his boss to check if he was obligated to honor it.

Thanks for this! I used the 20% off a set of two-way radios, and the manager said "or", and I pointed out the "and/or" and got the 10% off a spotting scope that was already on sale as well.

I DROS'ed my S&W M&P15 .22lr tonight. Rifle WAS 499.99. 20% off makes it 399.99. $25 DROS, $35 TAX, Total OTD $459.99.
No issues about the coupon either, the salesguy told me their manager specfically told all there employees about the new coupons and that the ARE VALID for firearm and ammo purchases.

I just used one that I printed out for a rifle in Roseville California just outside Sacramento. No problem and their computer took it just fine. I even left the other two I printed out with the manager in case anyone came in that could use them and said they could get more printed on calguns.net. He had not seen the coupon and thought having some to use would increase his business since he needs to move product and today's flyer in Northern california had no coupon. Good work and thank you

If it's on sale, isn't it only 10% off?

nm--saw the most recent coupon that is 20% off the regular price

I got the last S&W M&P 15-22 in the greater bay area this morning! I think everyone was using the 20% off specifically for those.

I found that the Big 5 employees at all the stores were very helpful. Several checked inventory across stores without even my asking. Guy at the Livermore store was a pleasure to deal with when I purchased my rifle.

Now it's time to burn some more money with that Midway coupon!

Went to my Big 5 and asked about 20% off and sales guy spoke to manager about it and manager said not on firearms purchases. In the manager defense I didn't have the coupon to show them, but I may have a fight trying to get that 20% off.

Show him the coupon - it does NOT say there are ANY exemptions for firearms or ammo. Nobody else has had a problem with it, so get in there with the coupon and be firm!

Well I went in and saw an 870 I wanted; they're going for $379ish and they have the Security model along with 12ga/20ga 28" barrel, 4-round mag tube models. They will honor the certificate, they just need to see it first and make sure it does not exclude firearms/ammunition, but that goes without saying. They were nice about it too.

The only problem was I forgot my paperwork to start the DROS today...great.

Thumbs down

The Big5 near me is so anti-gun, that I wouldn't buy a thing from them even if ammo was 5 times cheaper than anywhere else. AND I'M SERIOUS.

They don't sell handguns, and the manager literally escorted me OUT OF THE STORE for trying to hand out Calguns flyers during the heady days of AB962. He said 'I LIKE THUMBPRINTING' and that he didn't want me in the store. I explained that I just wanted to give them to him and have his guys show them to customers. I was as polite as could be.

Maybe all the other Big 5's are great. But the one in north ORANGE across from the ORANGE,CA mall is really sad. And I was neutral on this place until he threw me out of the store. And I have no axe to grind here - I've not bought much from them, was kind of a non-event until,, well,,,. you know.

So maybe helping BIG5 is a BAD IDEA.

Thats too bad...I have never been in that store personally, and it sounds like the Manager needs some re-educating, or to be fired IMO. the manager of the Tustin Store, Mike, is a really nice guy, takes the time to talk to you and understands the gun laws. I am sure if you did that there, maybe he would not have a problem with it...but, it may come down to company policy of what you were innocently trying to do as they call it "solicitating"
Of course, they don't sell handguns, but, they sell the ammo for handguns, lol.

That's why I never mind using my credit card at Big 5...whereas if I bought a gun from the local gun store that I like, I will mostly always pay cash to save them the fees. I don't like Big 5 that much so I don't really care whether they lose profit or not.

Anyway, has anyone bought multiple boxes of ammo on the same coupon with this? To me, I don't interpret the language as being only applicable to the first box of ammo.

Edit: Nevermind, that was stupid...I read the bottom conditions and missed the "On any one item" written in huge black text above it.

Hi just picked up my M&P 15-22 from Big 5 and when I came home to inspect it I noticed it didn't have a bullet button. Does this mean I have to buy a BB for the 15-22? Will any BB fit?

No need for a bullet button.

It is impossible from a rimfire rifle to be an assault weapon.

Looks like the new coupon that is good to the 27th is only 10% off.
