Lima3/3, I wouldn't want to miss this match.
A chance to dust off the old termite gun and see if it still shoots. Great coffee and doughnuts in the morning air at BRRC. Great bunch of guys sharing a common enthusiasm. And...I hear that Ralph M., CMP Gold Pin winner, former U.S. Marine and modern day philosopher, is going to be there offering his shooting and life coaching expertise. All this and shooting too!! Doesn't get bettered ! CMP Pin avatar...my first achievement pin with my M1 Garand. (not the last) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hey 1911, is it true you are going to bring out a home made M14 to shoot this match? If so I'm Going to ask to be at least one firing point away from you.. bet you are going to shoot home made ammo too.

Lima3/3, Yes, I masterfully cobbled together an M14 Civilian Equivalent. I'm going to bring it out and shoot the match with it. I'll be happy to have my own little space, but I'm sure you'll want to be right there counting shots and seeing how to put together a beautiful example of termite gun apex. No home made ammo yet...you're way ahead of me there. I've got CMP Federal OTM M1A.308...no mishaps on testing. How about you, have you worked out the bugs on that homemade, self-destructing .762 ammo? Are you bringing your M14CE?

Ok lad's I think this is going to be a great match. Remember I think the Idea of the post was to pimp the match!
That being said Mr.1911 if you can get that collection of old bits from the CMP to shoot better than a 285 then you got something. and to you 100, I will call a wambulance for your candy ***** if you think you might melt in the heat. I am very much looking forward to this and want to encourage people to come out Sunday.
