Default A little old skool black powder guns

While I like my centerfires and rimfires I have a special place in my heart for blackpowder firearms. I started with a Pietta 1860 Army than a CVA Hawkens then I got a Lyman Deerstalker for my son and his fellow boyscouts. Later I got a kit Hawken pistol to work on my gun bilding skills. Today the firearm I always wanted came in. A 1858 Remington carbine from Uberti. Gonna take em all out this weekend and celebrate Memorial Day.

I hopefully will be picking up another 1858 Remington revolver soon and later plan to save up and get a pennsylvania or tennesee flinklock kit that I will pimp out but for right now Im happy with what I have

Nice pics there of your collection. I'll have to get off my butt and take a couple pics of my Lyman .50 cal. Great Plains Hawkins. These black powder toys are sure fun to shoot.

I ordered my first BP anything almost a month ago from Fall Creek, an 1847 Colt Walker by Uberti. I was going to order an 1858 Remington carbine as well but figured I better get just one BP and see if I like it. Its been a month and I still have no clue when it will be shipped, they talking another 4-8 weeks
Anyway, how do you like that carbine? Still wouldnt mind getting one.

Real nice! Someday when I get a bit older & more decrepit, I'll get me some BP guns. No Offense OP! I just don't have time to play with all the toys I have now. Building one of those BP pistol kits has been on my Bucket List for a long time.
