Riverside is working on theirs. They have a couple more weeks before their deadline.

Check Scocca v Smith for the most likely avenue under which the statements will become available to the public [us].

When it comes to good cause, is it better to keep it short and limited to 1 reason vs. laying down a bunch of reasons? (assuming all are valid and true, but some more powerful than others)

I have been promised that Los Angeles is coming... They may want to finish with the current Sheriff Baca lawsuit first... There is a LASO Lawsuit underway....

I would state one primary reason, and follow it with one or two lesser reasons. The problem with one, specific reason is that depending on whom you're dealing with, you could have limits placed on your CCW that would only allow you to use it for that reason.

Nothing on Humboldt I see.

I'm actually afraid to put an application in because a denial looks bad and "single white woman in her 30s seeks self defense in college town with poor police response time" is probably an invalid "good cause" even with the sheriff's dept apparently handing them out like candy.

That is entirely dependent on which county.

I should have been more specific, Contra Costa County. I heard the CALGUNS was so successful, SAC county is handing them out like candy?

Any similar success in Contra Costa?

There are some ongoing projects that I’ll leave to others to disclose when appropriate. The scramble to ramp up the Stop SB-249 effort and now the rollout of the Firearms Policy Coalition has been consuming quite a bit of time...

Everyone is squeezing these efforts in along with family, work, and other obligations…

The sunshine imitative isn't forgotten, just delayed a bit...

If you look in the individual county threads there have been updates for some counties...
