Default California Flag RKBA Redesign

This was a threadjack on http://calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=157492 so I've cut and pasted my posts on this new thread.

Personally if I got a tat it wouldn't have letters in it.

But it would be funny if someone took the flag and slung an EBR over the bear's back.

Right to arm bears and all...

First draft
Second draft

Base files:
Public domain flag- http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...California.svg
M96 rifle, heavily edited-
http://www.robarm.com/M96%20Rifle%20New%20Sights.jpg
Font: Apple LiGothic medium, 72 point, off-black (vague standard is "condensed gothic")

Improvements welcome, except I get credit for the idea. Being a colorist and not an artist, there's not much more I can do with crap software.

I believe it would be equally as humorous if the flag said "right to keep and bear arms..."

However, California is not synonymous with the protection of gun rights, so perhaps another theme might be entertained- such as the "Come and Take it" motto from the Battle of Gonzales flag.

I said this in the original thread, but I think the bear should also have a 1911 in a belt holster.

Before we can make improvements - we need to work from a current flag that truly depicts where this state is... Record deficits, being over run by illegal invaders, out of contgrol bureaucrats and politicians, worst credit ratings of all states, worst emergency room waits, crumbling schools.

Folks - our once great state is in the dumper!

Isn't about time to flip the image horizontally so the bear is facing right instead of left?

Hmm, a flag used in political expression to promote gun rights is not at all related to gun rights and 2A related political topics.

Coulda' fooled me.

Bang your head more, may clear something out. Here's a prime example of your idea of 2nd amend related thread;

So, as long as you're blaming me for something I didn't do instead of reporting the post as offensive, I will now blame you for killing a blue whale, and put a new addition on my ignore list.

Yep, the highest American flag, then California, then DTOM. Also to the left of the American flag looks like the Battle of Gonzales flag.

OOOooo I see it! The Gadsden flag in the right side of the shot.

Since we're making changes to the CA state flag, how about we lose the Commie star?

If we lose the commie star, the bear wouldn't make any sense

Both front and rear left leg are forward. Old complaint from the woodcut print days.

Springfield .45, the Griz is only vacant from Calli, but is very much alive and in abundance elsewhere.

While a bit off topic in a "redesign our flag" thread this is a GREAT poster.
