I might get some guns, but I'm not planning on picking up any guys before(or after, for that matter) the election.

I am pretty new to this forum, I am so surprised at the guns we can still legally own here. Stupid gun laws, hey follow them and you can have some cool guns. Well with one or stupid features

Don't see the advantage of stocking up on guysconfused: You mean like to build an ARMY or something like that?

Stock up on ammo, whether it be 22lr or 338 lapua magnum. The 2012 end of the world thing is starting to come true. I didn't believe it at first but with the way things are going. I wont be surprised and unprepared.

Hell.. isnt north korea still testing new ballistic missiles?
Isn't Iran still pursuing nukes?
Isnt Obama still trying to take our right for self preservation?

Vote mcain/palin and hope that old fart croaks. Naturally of course.

No. No rush to stock up before or after the election.

Gun prices should be or should start falling because many people are selling guns to stock up on cash.

Ammo prices will likely start to fall as global demand for metals drop due to the economic slow down.

Just finished on AR build, bought another lower, and thinking of picking up one more. However I still want a shotgun. Money is tight, just lost my main job; so I'll see how it goes.

If you just started stocking up you are already too late. Seriously, I am not overly worried about the elections and bans. Bans don't just happen overnight.

it would take dramatic and radical federal legislation to even catch up to californias gun laws. neither party has done us any favors so i'm not too concerned about rushing to buy stuff before it's banned.

I have to chime in on this only because I keep seeing all of these "gun sales" that are good until the election. Even if Obama wins, do you think there will be a new ban passed the day after the election? Bush will still be in office until late January. Besides, the Dems already control congress so if it was going to happen they would have been pushing it by now.

Those things take time and can't we all agree that the Prez and Congress have much bigger things to worry about at the moment?

I agree with a previous poster who stated that some things should start to get cheaper as demand falls and people are forced to sell off some of their collection for cash...

I would just as soon wait until I hear from the NRA that there is a new ban being put together....in the meantime, I'll save my money for those deals that are too hard to pass up and occasionally stock up on 9mm from Wally World for the home defense gun (can't have too much ammo!)

Other than that, it seems like alot of panic is being fed by FFLs trying to make a few extra bucks (and who can blame them right now?)

I don't think it's a big IF to assume BHO backing a new AWB. McCain isn't exactly 2A friendly either, although he'd probably remember who voted for him.

You better stock up now. No, the Ban won't happen over night. But if the wrong person gets elected Guns & Ammo will go up. If you wait for the election to buy prices will all ready have gone up. Just my opinion.

So long as metal prices remain high and the manufacturers have to supply military & government contracts ammo is likely going to stay high in price and likely go up some more.

I DROSed a rifle that I had ordered today. I'm giving it a little more time to check the wind but I'll be ordering a couple of lowers fairly soon.

Given the bilge McCain has been tossing this week, another $300B down the rathole proposal, I doubt he can honestly be counted on to remember us in a kind way if push came to shove.

I'll be at the Glendale gun show buying a good amount of .308, 30-06, and 8mm Mauser ammo.

I hear if you are looking for a very long and very hard gun that the sunset strip in HollyHARDwood is where you want to go for best selection.

If you are wanting to shoot you gun then I hear you want to go to Castro Street in San FranFAIRYcisco.

How many guys are you going to stock up on?

Do you have to wait 30 days for every guy you stock up on?

As for real firearms....
Quote:
...Genesis 7...

7:1 And the LORD said unto gun owners in the USofA, Come thou and all thy house and purchase fruitfully many firearms; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
7:2 Of every evil black gun thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the full size evil black beast and his mate-the short barrel folding stock virgin: and of beasts that are not evil and black by two, the male shooter for the range and his female collector mate that thou shall keep safely tucked away in thy gun safe.
I decided to start at "A" and now have seven Armalites and seven AK's. I am up to "D" and have Daewoo's.

I fear god has not given me sufficient warning to do as he asked of all us in the USofA in....

Quote:
Be fruitful and multiply, bring forth abundantly many evil black rifles on the earth and multiply in it.
Not sure if this works if you just take two of each guy though!

I wish I owned a gun store right now. Nothing like alarmists on forums to raise the price of guns and ammo.

Governments come, governments go. Republican, Democrat, Republican, Democrat, on and on. The big picture is more complicated.

The economy will recover. Things are bad, but we are not a basket economy. I say this based on experience. Oh well. What am I saying? That's not what you want to hear. Selection bias won't permit it. Yes, Obama is going to take away your guns. There is going to be an apocalypse just like the bible said. Go buy more guns. Rant, rave, etc. Rinse and repeat. Jesus f'ing christ.

Exactly,
If the 2012 end comes it will be because of some jack hole extremist group makes it happen.
Stock up on what you like. Not much will survive at 1300 degrees Fahrenheit.

But seriously stock up on ammo cause you can never have too much of that. Its safe to say you have till end of year to buy what you want.
